It would be fun & interesting to have a bird’s-eye-view of the contact during the soft toss segment.

Video analysis shows that the ball does have the travel deeper in the zone but not as much as most coaches teach.

Hi Lorenzo. I really enjoy your videos. Here's what I'm struggling with in regards to hitting the outside pitch out front. When I see someone demonstrating, they are usually stepping in towards the plate so the pitch isn't ending up as much outside at the end as it is at the start. Carlos is clearly stepping towards the plate a good 4-6 inches which makes it easier to hit that pitch more out front. For someone whose stride is more straight, I just don't see them hitting it out front. Even with pulling hands in and having a deeper swing. I would like to see it done with a more straighter stride. I'm pretty open to learning, but I keep seeing this done with a inward stride. Seems like cheating a bit. Take away the tee and make it an unpredictable live pitch and is a straight stride hitter getting to it out front?

Finally someone that knows how to hit an outside pitch correctly. I have been saying this for years and no one would believe me. Do you do video analysis? I have a kid I would like you to look at.

I totally agree with you sir, I coached little league at first as an assistant coach and manager would teach this but I never agreed with it because as I studied the swing & would see kids who did hit outside pitch, would hit at or around the front foot but since I never played baseball I just thought the manager knew what he was talking about!

I see the point bit still,. Many little leaguers and guys on old fart leagues (like me) would still have a tendency to hit pop ups. The major leaguers...well obviously many players have that power to hit opoosite field homers, but they also hit pop ups. I remember Tony Gwynn was one of the few players who could consistently hit opposite field line drives
