You are an incredible mum, and a wonderful role model. I wish there were more women like you, women need to have conversations like this, so many are under far too much pressure to be 'everything' to everyone, in their lives; when that just isn't possible, burning out for that reason happens more than people admit. I love your honesty, and openness about that, it means a lot, especially to the women, like me, who didn't have strong female influences in their lives, or women who have had to work through trauma, alone, and struggling with societal expectations, which are wholeheartedly unrealistic and often unobtainable. I truly believe that every thing in life, good or bad, happens for a reason. Life is a LONG, winding road, that twists, turns and branches off in many direction's; it gives you the opportunity to grow, to change, and to head in a completely different direction, if you open your heart, body and soul. I think, for me, life can be challenging, learning those lessons can be hard, so we also need to remember to listen to our bodies, if we're with people that make us anxious, stressed or unhappy, to listen; to walk away from situations and relationships that don't make us happy, some actually causes us harm, it's something I've started to do, it's not been easy, but it's been ultimately worth it - always listen to that inner voice, those who are good for your soul, will encourage and nourish you. I've met a fair few inspirational women over the year's, 20-odd years ago, when I was 16, I met Queen Elizabeth at an event, she asked me what I'd done at the weekend, and I gushed about a horse riding competition, I was a poor kid that had to borrow a horse, for some reason I told her this, she ended up giving me the contact details for someone she knew, and I got a part time job, riding horses. Which was amazing - the way she spoke to me, she was genuine - to the point I met her again, randomly, through my old job about ten years later, and she asked me if I was still riding horse's, I'd met her at a fire station opening all those years previously, I don't know for certain if she remembered me, or was told - but she inspired me that day, to reach my hand out to all women, to help in whatever way I could, and I still do that, as much as I can. I'm a Psychologist, that worked in Scottish Politics for many years, it's not an easy place to be, I volunteered for a charity, counselling women, and helping them, that's truly changed my life, I wish more people were able to do that. I genuinely look forward to your next podcast, and wish you so much luck with it. ~ Murrinholi 💜

"self-love and self-care is a huge part of the soft girl era... you can't declare a soft girl era over your life and you're not taking care of yourself" well said. More and more I am learning how to take better care of myself. Thank you for this episode and for your vulnerability. A lot of great gems were dropped =)
