Story is, when my Dad was a kid he asked if this was His place. Born in Big Pine in the early 20s, it was already established . I love this channel, and ask you to watch some of their videos and subscribe if you feel so moved. They could use the support, and it's free. I just posted this share along with this message on my FB.

@@talesalongelcaminosierra5836 As a kid growing up in So Cal in the sixties, can remember it from the family "Guys Weekend" fishing trips (Dad, my brother, and I) to Mammoth (Twin Lakes) every Memorial Day. Landmarks: Number 18 in Independence: gittin' there; Tom's Place: Almost there! (This was back when Tom's Place was ON the 395) Never went into the place until after I moved to Bishop in the 90's. It's not so much the experiences I've had, but the memories that the mere sight of the place invokes. Pleasant memories of experiences never to be repeated.

Hi! Love your channel and just subscribed. By any chance have you come across any road side diners or bar and grills off the beaten path in the mid 80's? The reason I asked is because I swear I was looking for Tom's place and the location your showing wasn't it. My husband had a paranormal experience that shocked him even till this day he talks about and gets the chills. The scenario is simple. People sitting at the bar as he tries to open the door it's locked. Notices the patrons, yet their still. No movement. Nothing. Gets creeped out and immediately leaves. Any common occurrence happen with you or anyone else you've met?
