Your videos always bring a smile, no matter the topic of the day. Today makes me think of an aunt I spent a lot of time with as a child. She was very special, let me bang on her piano, dress up in her clothes (lots of can-can slips) , dig through her jewelry box, and steal candy from her purse. Childhood memories are special and your nieces are blessed. Sharing your crafts is your gift to us.

Nell and Libby are lovely girls. I’m sure they enjoyed staying with you and your family. I think you would be a favourite aunt. Very few adults can tap into their inner child as you do. I loved listening to your reflections and experience knitting your woolly family and the photo shoot looked like a lot of fun. Nell is quite an accomplished musician already. How lovely to see two bags of animals being taken into the woods. What a treasure to have two lovely nieces and what a treasure for them you are. How often can you load bags up and go for a walk in the woods for a photo shoot. Great fun. Well done in your accomplishment of all the animals. What a talented family! Great to see the girls again having fun with you crafting. You are a very skilled toy maker, and they are all just lovely. When I watched you painting dots with a brush, try turning the brush the other way and use the pointed handle tip, dipped in the paint. It makes perfect dots.😊

A very lovely video. Such an achievement to have knitted all of the animals! I found my first animal Mouche, to be a bit stressful but now that he's done I'm happier with the knowledge that I've learnt a lot and it's not so scary to knit the projects in the book. Very lovely video..❤❤❤Yes I often are aware about my breathing, which get slower and I get calm, when I sit to knit. I knit and crochet a lot, because I find it so enjoyable, satusfying to do something with my hands..just to work with yarn in different type or colour. I also have crocheted some carpets! Thank you, Chris. It’s great to know that you’ve made Mouche! The stuffing can be quite tricky - I always take it very, very slowly and use a tiny amount of stuffing at a time when filling the smallest spaces!

Very sweet. Loved seeing all the animals. I have yarn for Forrest the Bison. Hope to start soon. Plan to knit all of them too. Might dress them in Xmas colours. Enjoyed all the music .

I find it hard to believe that I completed everything in the book - especially when I look at the bookshelf in my craft room, knowing that for most books I've maybe only made two or three things in each (sometimes less!). The book definitely cast some kind of spell over me! xxx

Helen isn't it wonderful what can be achieved with simple items such as yarn and knitting needles and a lot of patience , the animals look wonderful all together as a family out enjoying time in the woods , the biscuits your niece's baked look delicious as well , Nell is a very talented young lady , the bagpipes are not an easy instrument to play so well done to her. I really enjoyed seeing all of the animals (and what an achievement to have completed the book!), and your lovely nieces. I have this book and can’t decide which animal to start with. You are right, Helen, your Mouche and Friends animals did indeed spread a lot of happiness even to those of us who don't knit with such expertise. Thank you! I had a lot of fun making all of those knitted characters! I'm not quite sure my next project will be... though I'm currently trying one of the MaryJane'sTearoom teddy patterns for the first time. x

The photo shoot looked like fun. I bet the girls enjoyed posing the animals "in the wild". Did they give you any ideas for future animal adventures? What I think made these animals come to life while watching you was that you gave them each their own name and personality, not just what the book told you. Matthew and Rose and the critters became characters in a story, not just toys for the shelf. And all the friends have had a part to play in furthering your knitting and story telling skills. I enjoyed watching them come to life and seeing you enjoying the process. I'm glad you included Libby and Nell in your video. Seeing the younger generation being creative brings back memories of things I did at that age. Painting wood boxes, playing piano (Nell has much more skill than I ever did), and baking cookies. Thanks for sharing. I always look forward to your videos. Take care.🤗

Hi Helen, I suffer from vertigo and I’m having an attack at the moment. For the last two days I’ve been as dizzy as a goose. So after I have all my medication I lay down and I listen to your podcasts. I so enjoy them. I haven’t been able to buy the mousey makes book here in Australia. I can’t even see it listed on eBay anywhere so thank you for sharing all of this. Also I wonder why you call them podcasts when , to me they are Vlogs .?Whatever they are called. Hi Tammy - I'm sorry to hear that you suffer from this condition and I am happy that listening to me helped you through this latest attack. I know what you mean about the confusion between 'podcast' and 'vlog' - I think my videos are probably a bit of both! For me, a podcast (which originally actually described just audio presentations!) is where someone chats about a particular theme (such as crafting) and a vlog is more of a diary of life events - so I would probably call my campervan travel videos 'vlogs' rather than podcasts. But as you say, as long as you enjoy them, it doesn't matter what they're called! Take care and I hope you're feeling better soon x
