Was about to comment on how we saw several tornados last week as we live in southwest Omaha. Then i heard my name. We are about 5 miles from where the Elkhorn tornados hit. I spent 2 hours locked in my office in the basement with 6 cats and 2 dogs. Didn't want to have to wrangle up all the animals if we saw a tornado headed our way. We did, however, see the Waverly and Elkhorn tornados. I posted several clips to my Instagram.

Having a leg cut off, suffocating in the hospital and having to be brought back to life and having 2 weeks of fentanyl coma nightmares in the hospital completely cured my anxiety. Storage units are alot of work. The garbage the furniture the items for ebay and the items not worth as much for ebay. The work never ends for sure. We have come up for systems to manage them a little easier. We separate at the unit ebay, flea market and garage sale and then list big items on marketplace. Been doing it since 2018 and love it. We share our units on KZread and gladly will help anyone get into this. Thank you for the respect of.realizing how hard the work is.

I think the discussion around the hour and two minute mark is one of the most important things that any reseller getting into the hustle should hear. The amount of thinking and problem-solving that you’re doing while sourcing and researching is quite complex the more seasoned you become.

I like the title of the podcast!!! 😆😆😆😆😆 Kevin, yes I think the clothing market is down. At least for me it is. Also, I have been selling off my death pile to a young lady who is getting started. I give her several bins or bags to go through, she picks what she wants, and I sell them to her for very little, often taking a hit on them, but at least they're gone.

Dave - idk if you've already done this, but the lowrance I bought used 2 big 6 Volt batteries, they're underneath the panel for the control (it flips up) and the batteries in mine were corroded really bad to where it wasn't even worth attempting to clean it and then buying new 6V batteries to see if it was "fixed" - idk if you have the same model but I'd definitely check that battery area

Balloon Fight is one of my absolute favorite NES games. I played that game for hours on end as a little kid.

Omg I love Sam kinison I used to watch his shows with my dad when I was a kid back in the '80s. When I was a kid I thought it was hilarious but looking back now it was really inappropriate but I didn't know any better.

20 year olds have been normalized to spending 50-75% buying used on depop and poshmark. They aren’t giving away good stuff for a buck at their own garage sale when the barrier to selling casually online for good $ is super small for them.

i do calculated shipping and I am not wrong. With what I sell I would loose my shirt if I did not do calculated shipping.

They get the fish finder pay for the $100+ cables that weren't included and take your fish finder out for their first trip of the season and it doesnt work.... That aint right.... lol

I really like picking jewelry now- costume and real. When I first started a lady sold me a whole table full of costume stuff -ended up being 55 pieces- for 10 dollars at a moving out of state sale.. I made hundreds of that and still have some (nice stuff like trifari still on the original tags lol) now I know a ton about it. I've sold one pair of Boucher earrings for like 140 I paid 3 for at a yard sale. Also definitely scoop anything gold- and not every one is looking for it. I hit a sale late one Saturday and the woman said no good jewelry was left since people had been picking through it since 6am Friday morning... Well I scored a marked 18k big ugly clunky 12 grams of gold plain earrings for 2.50.. I guess no one else even bothered to look at the big ugly things? Wild.

As a FL resident, once June - August comes I will only pick early and will be home by 10am at the latest. It really is just so hot then.

I sell clothing and I'm on ebay, poshmark, depop, and now curtsy. I don't think the clothing market is necessarily down but it is extremely oversaturated on ebay now, so I think saturation is more of the issue.

I have been to garage sales that smelled like a marijuana field. I leave them really fast.

25:58 I had a similar situation, 2022 Toyota Tacoma radio $20, no way of testing it, woman told me she had it replaced with a radio with a CD player. I didn't say tested, but I didn't say untested. Person bought it for $400 and said it worked great

Listing an item as working when you’re unable to test it isn’t that bad, I’ve def done it and I’ve just been very willing to accept a return or give a full refund immediately if an issue arrises.

Storage units are going the way of return pallets. Too much competition, too expensive, poor returns, poor goods. Units are a gamble and sell for too much.

I guess that depends on where you live. Some are high here but I have made good money doing it.

I'm not much of a reseller but enjoy the content. I followed Kevin's advice of checking ebay first when buying something and have been disappointed 3 of the last 4 purchases. Sheets listed new open box had small stains and minor structural damage in some areas(Got partial refund), Samsung headphones listed open box sync as "Laurens Galaxy buds" they could have atleast reset them, and a board game was listed NEW was 100% not new or sealed with a damaged box. The time involved in sending these items back was not worth it to me but has really turned me off ebay in general. Moral of the story probably should have listed it untested.

I have a question for anyone if y'all, I have a return request from a buyer with mercari for a mold smell in a purse that was mine that I had used for the last 6 months, and it just so happens that I am deathly allergic to mold. It is one of my worst allergies so I'm going to have to say she may be lying. 😂😂 I break out in hives and have very severe headaches when I come into contact with mold even the slightest amounts. So what can I do about this?
