Just for your information on how you all just lift me up. As far as health my daughter is an exerciser, yoga, vegan eater and came up with non hoskin lipoma. she has had 2 episodes ok chemo. Doing ok right now. Her husband is so loving. This does not stop her from helping others. She is 38 yrs. I tell you all this because how you all lift people up. God Bless you all

To answer your calculated shipping question, they charge retail and give sellers the shipping discount that they have worked out with USPS due to all the mail they send their way. But you can choose to give that discount to the buyers by setting it up in preferences. In fact, eBay was even encouraging sellers who use calculated shipping to make that change and pass the savings onto the buyer, although it’s still up to the seller if they wish to or not.

I agree completely. If you bother to set it up correctly, ebay changes the customer exactly what you get charged

50:55 to add on to the compliments you were all giving each other… you’re all hard workers and have a strong, supportive, loving significant other by your side. IMO that’s the key to a successful life! Yes there are occasions where you don’t need someone who loves you on your side, but it is definitely beneficial!

I ship from California, and I use calculated shipping. ebay has never overcharge the shipping. The most I have ever received is approximately $2 over the actual cost of shipping, and I weigh and measure my items before listing the item.

I really wanted to see what would happen if I put up a totally unrelated thumbnail and I browsed around my favorite channels and saw that phrase on one of yours and I just loved it.

As a Registered Dietitian I am a fan of intermittent fasting. Its application is easy to follow and apply. Nothing necessarily special about it but it helps to control food intake and helps to reduce snacking. I’ve seen more success with intermittent fasting than any particular “diets” out there. Great podcast guys.

Normally just listen to the audio but had to dip over here to yell from the mountains DO NOT FALL FOR THE SOLAR SCAMS. Lost all the equity I had built even if I could afford something else with these new crazy prices. Hope to bump into yall next week out and about!

Dave UPS has not increased prices, they have actually lowered prices to compete with USPS ground. I think you are seeing more expensive shipping because when you do free shipping a lot will go to California and out west. Its only around $7 to ship golf club within a couple zones. Set them to Calculated and they will usually go more locally, or pass on the discount or a good % of it, and you will get sales all over the country but more will be close because of how cheap the shipping will be for them.

Guys, today I tried to cook while listening to the video on my tv..JUST NOT THE SAME. Unless you see the facial expressions, you're not getting the full TRASH 2 CASH experience..😂😂😂

So just to clarify one got kicked off & one quit the reseller locker room podcast.

I have the same shirt as Kevin. It’s my original one from when I was a kid. I’m waiting for a George the Animal eniman!

For Ebay calculated you can choose either retail rate or discounted rate to be calculated and charged to buyer. If you have the dimensions and weight in accurately the calculations are accurate. If your dimensions and weight are not accurate the calculated shipping will be over or under.

Dave... you should just buy the solar components outright then hire someone to install it. You can even do it as a DIY, film it and use it to start another channel. Check out the traffic those channels garner. Thinking of doing it myself.

I still don't understand how the calculated shipping can be so out of whack. I've only used calculated shipping for years and have never seen it that way off. The only thing I can think of is perhaps you're not putting in the right dimensions.

@@TheGtrthang interesting I thought the discounted rate is what they automatically pay. So the easiest solution would be to flip the switch on that. I understand why they would use flat rate and play the game of we lose some and then we win some but why not just pass the lower rate on to the customer and never have to worry about paying for shipping out of your own funds.

My yard sales started back this weekend. None for a few weeks because everyone was doing mardi gras Debt, I owe about 2k on my car. That's it.

eBay, as far as I know, calculates the retail price of the weight and dimensions you enter to provide to the customer, but the price you pay includes a heavy discount, and that discount can vary from item to item. I believe you can set it to the price you pay with discount.

yes each service USPS FEDEX etc has the setting to give the customer the discount rate, if you don't set it to that, the price is way high imo

The audio on this podcast, especially the audio only on Apple Podcasts!, is soooooooo bad... especially Dave's volume! Turn it up high high to hear Dave, and the cackles from the other two is deafening! How is it Dave can tell Kevin within SECONDS that his audio is off... but can't tell that his audio level is way lower than it needs to be?

Oh yeah I've heard every story while negotiating prices. Who knows if it's real or not. A couple months ago I was at the flea market and this person told me they're moving out of town in a week and they're trying to sell the last bit of stuff they have to raise the money to help with expenses. I go to the flea at least 3 days a week and they've been there every time I'm there since I bought from them and I bought more stuff from them with no story.

@adhdave … I was listening tonight and the thought came to me hearing you again say if the shipping increases you pay for clubs, making it not worthwhile anymore. I wonder if this is due to you losing your top-rated status which gives a shipping discount??? Try comparing the eBay prices for UPS with those on pirateship and you might see the difference? If Kevin is still shipping relatively the same for clubs, perhaps this is it?

He went to CU boulder $127,000 he is a audit/ supervisor at a Marriott with economics and political science double degrees… his manager doesn’t have a degree that being said, my husband and I have 3 degrees that’s how we paid for the tuition lol
