In this documentary Backdrop - scenes from Norwegian dance history, the aim has been to tell the fascinating story of Norwegian dance history and communicate this digitally. Backdrop is a series of documentaries so far in three episodes. Historian and director at Danseinformasjon Sigrid Ø. Svendal, talks about different historical events and connections that you might not have previous knowledge about. In addition we have searched archives and libraries to find photos and films that contributes to give dance a place in the world history.
The series har been produced in-house by Dansens Hus, National Stage for Dance and Danseinformasjonen in the time period June, 2020 and May, 2022.
All episodes are texted in English and Norwegian.
