    Thank you so much for doing this series. I just paid a ton of money for one of these and it wouldn't do more than 22mph. I was not happy. Now it will do 30mph without having touched the rpm regulator. I appreciate it. Waiting on the next video please.

    Totally. 22 feels slow. 30 mph is nice for this machine. 35 gets a bit unstable mostly from the hydraulic steering setup. I've had mine hit 38 mph now!

    My X1140, when warm, does 26 on flat pavement. It would do 25 when new and within a year I noticed it began to struggle to get 23. I adjusted the slack out of the throttle cable and it now hits 26. I was careful to not allow the adjustment to increase idle speed, just no slack in the cable. I look forward to what other things you adjusted to get maximum performance. Like you, I didn't buy the X1140 because it was fast. I do, however, sometimes run to the hardware store or to a friends house 3-4 miles away and having a little more speed would be nice. I have often thought if it would only do 30 I would be satisfied. Only 4 mph but it just feels better at that speed when traveling on road. BTW on road use is legal on county roads where I live.

    That's perfect! Taking slack out of the cables is a big help. That's helps with overall response too. So when you touch the pedal, it's starts responding. I've seen some where you're pushing 1/4 way down before anything happens. That's no good!

    Yes! There are a couple things you may want to do. I would start with the in cab foot pedal adjustments that way you know when you put your foot down its actually going back to the linkage

    Just found this by accident. Need more speed and power . Mine is on tracks so can’t go by my mph . Follow all the forums and web pages not much you can do without out turning up the hydraulic pressure? Thinking of adding a turbo to help with the power. Wish I could bolt up a bigger motor to tve transmission.

    Add the turbo, it should help some. (Although mixed reviews on that.) I'd love to get your machine in the shop to see if I can tune it for you.

    That's pretty good! I think this machine is perfect at 30 mph. Handles it nicely 👌 I mainly snowblow with it and just cruise around. What do you use to mow? Like a pull finish mower?

    There are 2 places hydraulic fluid goes, in the transmission gear case which is under the box and the reservoir under the seat. Is the fluid reservoir under the seat full oil on the dip stick?

    @@SearlesStation I will do that when I get the chance too. I had to use chevron hydraulic oil.Because I’m to far from a dealer for Kubota oil. And that’s the only oil I had availability.

    Wouldn't it be better to drive it and see what it does? Spinning wheels on a lift doesn't mean much of anything. It has to move it's weight. It has to overcome rolling resistance and wind resistance and tire size and pressure and.... Just because you make it go faster on a stand doesn't mean it will do that in real life. HP and torque especially aren't spinning wheels on a lift.

  • @SearlesStation

    @SearlesStation

    6 ай бұрын

    Yes, I agree with a load... up hill, down hill etc... it will take power from the engine. What I'm saying is that as fast as your machine will go with no load, raised up, is as much as you'll ever see while driving. I go up hill at 20, but down hill at 35. If it doesn't go 35 on the lift, it won't down a hill either. So that's the baseline I'm suggesting.

    Yes, it can! There is low end loss. By reducing total wheel weight, youd gain some too.

    @@SearlesStation Probably something very wrong. Thank you for these videos! Maybe it’ll fix the issue. Is there a possibility you could do other videos for basic maintenance (changing all fluids) and perhaps others like changing the alternator, arrestor cleaning, etc? This is one of the handful channels who actually have very nice quality videos which are a great resource for everyone without spending a fortune in the dealership! Thank you for the videos!
