Episode 007 - Greece's Best Kept Secret

www.adventureviv.com
The Peloponnese Region
How many of these places are familiar to you: Elafonisos, Richea, Mystras, Sparta, Tenaro, or Gytheio?
Greece has so much to offer beyond Athens and the Cyclade islands (Santorini, Mykonos, etc.), we wonder why this region isn't as popular. People say that Simos beach on Elafonisos might be Greece's best beach! I bet you did not know that...
In this episode, we'll show you what might be Greece's best kept secret: the Peloponnese region. We hope that watching this episode, and seeing all of the beautiful sights, will make you consider a visit to the Peloponnese to experience it for yourself!
What happens when you accidentally step on a sea urchin? Find out how the CameraMan's foot is faring...
As always, thank YOU for watching. Subscribe to join the adventure!

Elafonisos translates as "deer island", no idea where that name came from. Mani is awesome for strong sun light enthusiasts and with some outstanding history behind it. Like famous pirates and something that Greeks are so proud of, Maniates (ppl of Mani) fighting spirit that kept Turk conquerors away for centuries. Even their women fought along with men. Also a thing about Mani towers-small fortreses, back in those days each family had one, to protect its members from other families that didnt had good relations with... in other words vendeta issues. Too bad you didnt had time to visit Monemvasia (translate as "only one way to reach") or Mt Taygetos pyramid like peak, 18th century gun powder villages and Olympia. Maybe next time :)
