As an assistant professor of emergency medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Julianna Jung, M.D. is an expert in teaching students. She has been the director of medical student education in the Emergency Medicine department since 2006 and was appointed the associate director of the Johns Hopkins Medicine Simulation Center in 2011. She is also a national leader in education, holding a position on the Executive Committee of Clerkship Directors in Emergency Medicine.

It’s crazy to think that the reason we give 1mg of Epi every 3 to 5 minutes is only because that’s the way the veterinarians did it in their trial about 100 years ago and we haven’t changed since

Thanks so much for the video! Just one question :Do we give Epi when we give Amiodarone after the second shock? Or should we wait until the third shcok to give the other Epi? 🙏

1 ml of saline is 1g. So 10g of saline to 1 mg of epi is a 1:10000
That's a very nice and low p-value. My problem with that is the sample size is so ridiculously low that it's basically useless for anything else than an exploratory study. It gives some evidence to support an hypothesis. It needs to be replicated. Otherwise it's a waste.
