This video is designed provide education about epidurals used for pain relief during labor. It answers some commonly asked questions about labor epidural catheters, what to expect during epidural catheter placement, benefits of epidural placement, and some potential complications. We hope this video enhances understanding of labor epidural anesthesia and alleviates the anxiety some patients have concerning epidurals as they prepare for their delivery day. The video was created by residents within the Stony Brook University School of Medicine’s Department of Anesthesiology.

Ruchi Bhedangal right ive been asking around people said epidural is way better because yuu numb yuu don’t feel anything they said yuu hardly feel the needle go in because they put a numbing on it before

@@dezthabarbie3187 look up the Bradley method for natural child birth. It can be relatively pain free if you learn the techniques. Plz check it out.
This is so wrong because I had 7 epidurals with all my kids and guess what I had knee burning my knee was burning I was not supposed to feel anything but my knee was burning like somebody got a match and burning it so they need to correct the side effects cuz I don't know what happened to me that day
