RIP Jake Phelps. It brought a smile to my face but also made me quite sad as the episode ended with a photo of him.
A Visual Sound was my favorite skate video at the time. I watched it repeatedly, looked up to Carl Shipman, Ethan Fowler (who was only, like, a year older than me at the time), Mike Daher, and (or course) Jason Lee. Interviews with these dudes got me reading Charles Bukowski, which is pretty heavy for high school reading. Hugely influential, the video ended up turning to a static mess because I left it in my car and it was sun damaged. Tin Can Folklore was really great too. Those videos REALLY stood out in that early-mid 90's skateboarding landscape for sure.
One of the best Tre-Flipers out there! And amazing style
I’ve watched the first 60-70 videos in the series and I don’t know what I’ll do when I run out .... best skate doc series ever
mellow, you know, really just mellow as mellow could be with some mellow mellow.
Seriously I subbed to this channel a day ago thinking it was fantastic and now your uploading one of my favorite shows. Well done.
thank god the pigs know what's safe for us to do otherwise i'd be lost playing in a lit forge.

Here! Patrick O’Dell is a nerd btw!
Wow that cop seemed chill as fuck
I laughed so hard when I learned it was a Vespa tour.
Awesome video, watched a couple now really inspires me to play guitar and go biking.
Love the epicly later'd series. You get the skate history through each skater. I'd love to see an episode about Mike York or Chico Brenes or anyone who hasn't had one from those years of Girl/Chocolate. Loved Carroll's, Gino's and Guy's Epicly Later'd. Keep up the good work!
10:45, I never knew he skated that set. I've skated there many times. PJ 5 in Iowa City!
Once again thanks for these mini documentaries!!
Dude looks like a gnar Jared Leto
I understand your point. I just hope people leave this page knowing the importance of Ethan Fowler's skating, and his influence on skateboard culture.
I'd say stereo is more pastras' company, him and Lee started it in '92 but Lee left to pursue his acting and Pastras continued stereo on his own untill the year 2000. They started it up again together in 2003.
hands down one of my favorite rippers!
Ethan Shreds Frfr
“Longest demo I’ve skated in years...multiple years!”
The nail damnnn
I'm so glad it's back! yessss
Nice video - Boards and Bikes go great together!
Josh has that "push you harder" style. Mad Love.
I was around 13-15 when stereo put a visual sound out. it changed everything for me. before that I was watching alot of shit that I thought was awesome. but that video.. fluid lifestyle skating. art. music. it was a really big deal. im older now, i work in front of a computer. I thought about those days recently and found matt rodriguez's part from that..favorited the shit out of it. thanks Ethan, Patras, all those dudes.
2:30 wow, he really left him hanging. I mean I even feel bad about it
15:21 Is that Jason Lee?
this man is why i started skatin!!
AHahahah, the cat is AWESOME! :P
I had his vans pro in 8th grade. They were so black my feet looked 3 sizes smaller than they were.
phelps seems really human and down to earth in this video
pt 1 so far a good watch,
7:52 cool cat
WOO
anyone remember the band riot cop ethan was in?
The king 👑
We need an Epicly Later'd Rodney Mullen!!!!
Ethan Fowler doing his best Jesus/Chris Haslem impression.

.... The third eye.
This video is adults, riding vespas, and throwing rocks. riveting.
yea, i guess. I have not been skating for years now, and have not really followed it for years either. my skate years were late 80's early 90's. long time ago. I concentrate on surfing - way more enjoyable for me. i will look up ethan - i watched this and gathered he was revered, but skatingwise for what exactly i dont know.
No way! 7:53 was the best rejected high five!
Man Fowler really did a number on Benny Fairfax. 'You must feelnot of place man, not too many n****** in here' followed by ' You probably want to punch me right now. But you are not going to are ya?' The Dynamic of Benny being the new kid from overseas, getting taunted by Fowler 'the silverback' of the group for his skin colour was just more about bringing down the power on the freshmen of the Team. These Actions need to be called out more often. Fowler is as fowl as they come, and this I don't mean anything positive by it. If I ever meet Fowler, I bring this up and break him furry face.
O'dell you're the man!
that sheriff sounds like a control freak
there's already an extensive documentary on Rodney Mullen, look it up on youtube. anything that this show would cover would only be redundant. besides, Epicly Later'd is a show that puts the spotlight on pros you may not know much about and up and coming skaters.
are people really complaining about the windows? its obviously a condemned building, or it has been closed down a long time ago. skaters dont go around breaking everyone's windows. relax, people.
Old Vespas are soooo nice, highly collectable w very proud owners. Be careful w them. new ones not so much Ethan is a ruler
where is the other dude that went to north korea ... his documentaries are great!
RELAX!
"damn, that's ethan fowler." x100.
such a sick group of dudes. Ethan Fowler, Leo Romero, Josh Harmony, Austin Stephens, Keegan Sauder. Some of the coolest dudes in skateboarding at that time but some serious rippers too
Last thing I remember Ethan was sponsored by vans and anchor blue and he looked like a preppy.
Camarillo!!!
Honestly, what happened to Ethan? Last I heard/seen of him was at a Green & Wood show he played in LA at the Redwood Bar about a year ago, next thing I know Bummer High goes under, he gets off Cons, what's crackin with this fool?

judging by his appearance hes probably sleeping on somebody's couch.
Rodney still skates constantly, just that it's at crazy hours like 2-5 am and he doesn't put footage out

ethan fowler, slash, chris haslam
youre so cool dude
i feel like ive seen this before.
Derby is so much better now.
The cop was incredible reasonable. the spot they went to looks like the apocalypse, absolutely ridiculous, where do they find spots like that?
Went to school with Keegan Sauder, he has his commerical helicopter license now
no intrest in the skate scene but just got sucked into that vid, either it was very good or this weed is awsome!
I cant believe he had to move to iowa city, ... thats where i was born....
can you guys try do some day in the lifes of under rated skaters?
He didn't do it on purpose, he wasn't even paying attention and didn't notice.
was this video filmed on a loaf of bread? why's it in a 4:9 ratio lmao
I was thinking the same thing at first, but I do find this relaxing to watch. Recreational activities that actually require people to get out and do shit, instead of wasting time on the computer like most of us do; it's somewhat of a lost art it would seem. Also, a lot of us can't even get out and have fun anymore, because of the police-state cops we have in the U.S. these days. I live in a small town where cops would beat you to death with a night stick for having fun.

This aged well sitting watching from my iPad . I find this show very relaxing and just real instead of the shirt pumped out nowadays. Skating was the best memories I ever had when I was a teenager.
Fooly Cooly!
roadpops?
Dude looks like big baby Jesus with that holy beard of his..
both Vice productions...
Should’ve asked him about Ryan Hickey and Freddie Gall throwing shit out their hotel room at Ethan while he was swimming in the pool back in the day
jeff grosso
age has nothing to do with anything they have fun and probably a lot more than you do
fucking epic interview!
thats just who pro skaters are
Skate till i fucking die. no quitting
he looks like the black keys singer
They're skateboarders. Hipsters just have a certain look and do nothing else.
Hey that's my name
Idk why all the hate. Seems like a great guy and was a legend in the late 90s. Looks like he's still having fun, what more could you hope for in life?

Read The Benny Faifax Interview, where he talks about his experience with Fowler. Called him rigirously the N-Word, just because he knows he'd get through with it. IDC who fucked up you are, this is a step over the line, even you may had a few too many.
What the hell is your profile image?!?!
no we don't
With all that’s going on in skating how are we not getting new episodes of this from Patrick. Even if it’s a different name who cares.
pat o dell should make another one with him so people know what happened to him. all i know is he lost a bunch of sponsors
2:22 high five fail
His finger man
RVCA is actually pronounced "ru-kah"....mind blown
i always get him confused with haslam
why hit glass? what if somebody did it to your warehouse
