I have so much respect for Simone that she stayed true to her metal roots and her love for this scene. She could have easily cashed in doing something mainstream. But she didnt. Phenomenal singer, person and a rare beauty.

Nightwish used to be my favorite, but Epica did take their place. Last Nightwish albuns were not that great...Epica on the other hand. And the energy they have on their live shows is amazing!

Yea but mark went further down the quack medical science route. I found some post covid interview with him where he was talking about some dutch "sCiEnTiSt" who could cure himself from anything by dunking into freezing water. 2 seconds of research shows all his claims are completely debunked and nonsense but mark pushes it.

Epica living the dream. Twenty years of music and they are in their best shape. They released 3 of the best albums of the genre, one after the other. They made the best virtual show of the metal scene. They've been on a very successful (endless) tour everywhere, played a whole bunch of festivals, opened for Metallica. Joint gigs with Apocalyptica. A full album just with collaborations. Just anounced 3 concerts accompanied with an orchestra. The first one sells out... If you are still wondering why they are the best symohonic metal band out there, there's no better display of their quality than this concert right here. They have it all.

Epica and Simone Simons have improved their performance a lot. They offer great shows. The team gets along very well and they are very cute. In my opinion, they are the best symphonic heavy metal band right now.

What a concert, what a band! This is a once in a lifetime level of talent! Be happy you were alive to experience it!

Mark and Simone windmilling together is so sick, I never thought this band would live through their break up. But no it lives still one of my favorites of all time still to this day. Listen to them I am 18 again every time.

Simone and Mark relationship through time is the prove that when you are matture enough to accept not everything needs to be black or white in this life, shared projects can go on even after a couple break. Emotional stability and mental maturity has proven to be very strong in them.

They first caught my attention in 2006, when I saw them live at a festival that Within Temptation was headlining. I had never heard of them before, but was pretty impressed. Back then I had no idea how big and successfull they would become. Very well deserved, they are brilliant!

One of the best metal singers in the world! And the girl also rocks.

I've really got to see Epica live someday, they always look like they're having so much fun onstage

If it wasn't this and that occassionally (wanted) different tone you're really wondering if Simone is singing live. Regarding the difficulty in these songs this keeps surprising me everytime. And then ... when you just settled that inside your brain the band steps in who does exactly the same. Epica is not a concert - it's an experience. Maybe the best symphonic metal experience you can get nowadays ... ... ... But then ... music is not a competition! So why comparing them to anyone? Why not enjoying them for exactly THIS: An experience! After so so many years I'm so happy to see and hear them playing still with joy and fun.

Such amazing sound from the best band in the world. I wish I had been there! Thank you, Epica!

They sound amazing here, but what I personally love most is how much of a blast they seem to have. I love all the little interactions and moments of connection between the band members, like Simone singing to Mark or casually grabbing other band members, or Issac doing half a chicken dance and Simone in turn pointing to her butt during Beyond the Matrix. Also special shoutout to Coen, whose antics in the back seem to often go unnoticed but are incredibly entertaining.

I might be wrong but i think the reason why she was pointing her back is because she might have had an issue with her inear volume or something, because artiste usualy have it on their back, and she was probably trying to adjust it but i'm not 100% sure

Although there were many good songs not performed in this concert, the performance was very good, I think Epica is the best band in the world, but their music and lyrics takes a long time to understand.
