Parking - how much😳😖. My OH would have flatly refused! I thought the campsite looked lovely but to my mind a bit pricey. Totally agree with you about the immeasurable benefits of going for a walk in nature. Are you sure that was a dog not a sheep 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Stay well, looking forward to your next one.

Ah thats awesome matey, glad you get something out of the waffle I produce 🤣🤣! Here's the battery pack case... its not brilliant but is a good way to keep your batteries charged (with a separate power bank) when on the go... amzn.to/4bEcxli

@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures I'm on one of my favourite sites right now, with clean hot showers and spectacular views. £5 a night. I try not to pay over £8 for beautiful campsites with toilets & showers in the UK, unless of course I'm paying zero for wild parking.

Aye up, bit of a random question but did you ever do a follow up vid on the long term painted plastic bumpers? Have they faded or still look good? Cheers Bud

Hey I mainly use Google (just zooming in to an area i want to go, then typing "campsites" in the search box. Or i use Pitchup or via recommendations ;)

Why don’t you use the app for the car park, wait until it reminds you and just add an extra hour or whatever?

I parked in Walna Scar carpark right at the bottom of Old Man last year. I didn't even realise it was a pay and display....oops 😂😂

Haha, it didn't used to be, it was a gravel (and pot hole hell) free car park until about 2 years ago! Otherwise, I'd have parked there instead...

For a patch of grass (albeit with a great view) you're right

I must say, you haven't impressed me at all. The other day, the Bushman of Bushman and blue, without blue, ran up the old man of Coniston, none stop from the car park at the bottom, to the trig point at the top. He did the 4.12 km to the top in 39 minutes, carrying a selfie stick. Just think about how much car parking charge you could have saved if you were as fit as him. You could have then spent the money you saved on a copy of Joy division, love will tear us apart again or a Billy Bremner figurine, to remember the good times lol.

I have a national trust membership, but sadly that car park wasn't NT - I'll have a look at the climbing club though if that works as I'm in the lakes enough to warrant paying a yearly sub to save on parking fees! Good shout mate

🤣🤣🤣 1. The dog is wrapped up in the VW matt in the garage 2. Annoyingly 3hrs 45 minutes 3. Showers, very basic 🤣
