Agreed. But I believe PR also deserve some modernization. Some blend of modern and vintage is always a great combination.

I came across your channel and to be honest one of the best channels on railography. When I was in Pakistan, ages ago, I used to travel a lot on trains, mostly branch lines. I travelled on Narowall to Lahore branch lines for years from Narang to Lahore. I was student at that time, 1995 to 2000. Now, thanks to you, all tbose memories are coming live. Congratulations, wish I could travel with you once. Impressed with the pertinent technical information. Best of luck.

Optimistic people who almost missed the train in Lahore. I had a friend who would be chatting with us at 10 to 6, when he had another appointment at 6 pm, across the city, some 45-75 minutes away. Very capable otherwise. You're right. Crossing on the Alexandra bridge as the sun was setting was magical.

India may bhi ravi express 14634 hai jo pathankot se amritsar tak ka 107 km ka safar 2,30 hours me karti hai aur yeh ek daily passenger unreserved train hai Accha laga vlog dekh kar aur mai 1970 ki era me challa gaya . Pakistan govt ko chahiye ki railway infrastructure ko modernise kare .induan railway ab next era me jaane wala hai ab hum semi bullet train se nikalkar aane wale salon me bullet train ki era me jaane wale hai aur dua hai ki Pakistan me bhi aisa khuch ho .

Great video sir enjoyed the whole compilation, firstly talking 42dn departure, geu40 9016 needs serious wash down and it kinda look very rusty as well specially at the upper joints and under truck as well, PR needs to maintain these locomotive regularly for long term service, and good see it's maintained cnr rake and great to hear about it's privatisation, hopefully you and Faheem sir will cover this occasion in future together, now coming to 7up journey, race with hbu20, I think kind a unfair becoz as per my observation zcu20 has much superior pick than hbu20, and due to less maintenance and old age it can barely touch 105 kmph nowadays, and zcu20 will easily give you 110-120kmph ride in almost same power output, so no hate to Japanese loco or Chinese loco either,due to less load and no speed caution hbu20 got the lead... Anyways will be waiting for next part 👍

Beautiful video Sufian bhai. I was wondering what is the difference between the PHA-20 and HBU-20? Both locomotives look almost exactly alike. Secondly 42DN and 7UP both departed LHR in the same direction, yet one train is DN and other is UP. Is this because Karakoram takes a different routing than Tezgam? I remember you covered this in a previous video, although sadly I forgot the reason.

Thank you brother. HBU-20 are slightly older locomotives and denotes Hitachi Bombardier Universal. When they were first imported as whole unit, they were using Bombardier prime mover. Then PHA-20 are same technology but were assembled in Pakistan. PHA denotes Pakistan Hitachi ALCO which shows it used ALCO prime mover. And regarding 2nd question, you are right about same direction. Since Karakoram 42dn takes Faisalabad route so for a short period of time till Shahdara junction, it moves in up direction before diverting to Shahdara-Sangla Hill branch line.

10:21 excellent coupling shot. I don’t know why, but IR highly objects to showing coupling videos. After a long time I am seeing ur videos and it’s thrilling to watch already. Excellent video. Delectable feast!!! Yummy!!!!… good thing u prioritised lunch over a departure capture. Lunch has to be enjoyed always. 😊 the HBU accelerated like a beast but again that could be because of a puny rake(5/6 coaches only right)… I would love to see the HBU in action hauling a proper 22 coach train, at MPS (maximum permissible speed), then that’ll be true acceleration… why aren’t notices placed trackside for the driver to honk for an LC, and also the presence of an LC?. There should be a W/L sign!! Didn’t see that anywhere.. very nice greenery… liked it. 110 is a great speed, wonderful!!! Sunset is fabulous as ever, and so was the gammon lake and Alexandra bridge…
