@@javin9743 someone who buys the cards in store and then resells them to make profit. it’s a really big problem in shoes but has made its way to retail and hobby sports cards within the past year.

Too bad I see these same people waiting hours at a time for the venders to stock. It’s quite sad for the kids but helps our local card shops at the same time. It’s great you they set a limit. But it’s getting out of hand when you see the product on a card shops shelve hours later for double the price. Smfh

I feel that I went into a local Wal-Mart to maybe get some cards but there was one guy who took every box, he filled 2 carts full absolute disgrace because I know damn well he's a flipper

LGS get their product direct from distributors so it’s actually even worse. They are making more than regular scalpers. They don’t need to bother going into target or Walmart when they have cases shipped to them 10-25% cheaper than MSRP. If card shops are charging any more than the same 10-25% above MSRP then no one should buy their cards.

@@killerowensog5742 start taking them out of his cart. No rules against it as long as the manager doesn’t tell you you can’t. He can try and run to the register but you guys will get plenty by the time he gets there. Maybe even leave some in his cart to teach him a lesson about sharing

Teams of flippers a lot of times are working FOR the LCS lol. Also a lot of times the employees won’t help you because they are the ones putting this stuff on Ebay. From their point of view they are working in WalMart/Target etc in a pandemic. So after getting tired of dealing with this I smartened up. I chip in with friends and the answer to our problem has been Hobby boxes. I would like to walk into somewhere and buy a box just to open for $20 would be nice.

The targets and Wal-Mart in my area have no limit I asked a lady around what time and day the shipments arrive she told but she said if you're not here right once it's put out one person will probably buy just about everything. Like come on I mean if you want to grab a few of each ok but for one person to buy it all is messed up. I hope they put limits on these items in my area soon.

At a minimum take the Megas....if you don't someone will just clean them out anyways... I would have no issue taking my them all and then selling to my boys at retail. It's better your boys get it then the scalpers.

My store has no limit so I got a bunch still left for other people though

Target & Walmart quit selling cards in my area in 2021, Makes me sick cause before the pandemic I was seeing full shelves every month. I used to buy as much topps chrome & other premium retail back thru entire 2000s until 2020. Guess the retailers or distributors here got sick of all the bs that came with it. I think there was even a shooting in a restock line outside walmart once, that probably was the last straw. Oh well what can u do, i pay a small premium & buy from shows or online now.

I went to target at 8am and they where stock. There was like 20 people waiting. Employee said 3 per person and go back line and once we got to aisle everyone went crazy pushing shoving fighting screaming at each other I was like damn man I like to collect but you have to be a serious addict if you try and fight someone for Box😂😂😂

100% agreed. I had to pretty much tell this kid to get the hell of the phone texting all his boys like an idiot and told him take what he wants and I'm taking the rest. You do not want to be there when the crowds show up...people fight for this stuff. By the time we both checked out about 30 people showed up and they were big dudes.
