Luv it!! My friends and I started skimming lakes and rivers in Northern California in the mid 80’s. As far as I know we were some of the first ones building ramps and rails at the lakes when we couldn’t get too the beach. Very cool to see everyone enjoying the sport all over the world in every type of setting. I’m an old man now but I’d love to give it a rip.

This was very entertaining Skimboarding has been something I've really wanted to do. I love how people come together and Skim board and have fun it was defiantly a great vibe. I hope your toe and finger is doing better.

Thank you for finally trying an idea I dreamt of years ago and thought nope.

my dad bought a second hand skimboard about a year ago from the local dump for a couple pounds or so. i would only use it on the rare trip to the beach but i learnt a couple turns, powerslides etc and could get a decent distance using what i could without any grip at all 💀. and now i’m learning more about urban skim boarding and im seriously considering buying a skimboard that’s actually my size and with grip but idk if stuff like in this video exists in the uk :/ it would probably make it a lot easier to learn shuvs and board control haha

Haha this one is more the best for its ramp/obstacles setups. There are way better natural spots all over Europe

I’ve really wanted to get a one wheel since I first saw them. I can’t do any “fun stuff” anymore and it would be a means to keep up with my 2 year old on his bike…. It’s either that, a scooter of some kind or maybe a bike. Out of those the OneWheel looks like it would be the funnest. I just worry that I make the investment and the first time I step on a break my spine…. Again, like again, again, AGAIN! Or find out it hurts too much to use.

The best one for sliding long distances on sand is a Sandfish by DB skimboards. My fave is the Raza pro Sandfish

ive seen that quarter pipe before and well i really dont understand the point here, you really like really want to hurt yourself on that damn thing. im pretty sure they must be an other way to have a qurter pipe design
