Josh is the type of guy that a lot of these comercial studios miss! A down to earth relaxed guy not a corporate stuck up. As an artist would rather work with a personality like that 1000 times over a "bigger" name.
LCT 1040 at 0:19 👀 Love the vibe over at Atlantic Studios west. Great people!
i really enjoy seeing the big, corporate studios sometimes. it's really interesting to see what the few remaining big studios are doing. kind of surprised at how simplified their setups are, but i like it.
This place is awesome. Josh, congrats on your success :) I always loved Atlantic but it's definitely been upgraded since we were recording there with you! Great tour.
Never stop putting out this content man. Top tier! 👌🏻
6:30 its literally the room where Logan Paul was making some music
WOW JUST WOW
I remember Josh! I'm so happy for his success! Absolutely amazing studio! Thanks for the great tour :)

This was like watching TWO Andrews lol. I can definitely tell that the blond homie is your boy. You both share the excitement of gear.
I love these types of studios Super cool episode!!
This is not a recording studio, it’s a dream studio. Great job
dope space💥
Super fun tour.
Great tour of the studio!!!
Have a pair of sc204 myself and can tell you, transient responce on these is off the charts.

Dude, dude, dude!
Love this studio. These guys are so cool too, love the passion. Also, you can tell someone is very caffeinated 😂
👌 cool space
Amazing studio 😍
So much history in that building, I had two floors for several years. Used to be the Solar Records building in the 70’s & 80’s, Death Row Records, Dr Dre The Chronic recorded there. Then the Edmonds Tower owned by Babyface Edmonds, LaFace Records, YabYum, Tyrese, The Underdogs, Diane Warren and more.. great space and episode!

Whoa you know your stuff! Diane apparently has the floor above this one (don't quote me on that) as her own studios. Apparently they are super legit and like all white or something? Always wanted to go see it. I used to work at this Atlantic spot back in the day with these same dudes.
Great tour. I love seeing how different studios set their rooms up. It looks like they’re just using a whole floor in a regular office building - how are they managing sound? Did they put in floating floors or room within a room type construction?
dope
Just to let you know man I appreciate these videos!

6:51i have that TG cassette channel strip! fire. bought a shelford at the same time to choose one. sold the shelly
great unpretentious installation congrats
8:42 actually these are $130. Need to get one asap!
Hello Andrew, the one thing I did not see in the description was the little red box that was used in the studio #3. What product is that? Thank you, like always great video
I love seeing a major label studios still do jank set ups. Like a piece of rack gear on a random chair out in the open. It’s so funny
Loving this one! Any chance on getting the brand for the desk on studio 1?
How do you keep all that gear dust free?? It's insane how you keep everything pristine
Where do they records the drums?
Last room at 10:00 appears set up for clients to be at the point of the stereo triangle, rather than the engineer. The other rooms have (as normal) engineer at the point of the triangle. Is the thought that the uber-expensive monitors (Augspurger) in the last room allow for a bigger sweet spot?
Honestly I feel like we've seen home studios more elaborate than this, which says a lot about the state of everything.
@G.GordonMidi
Жыл бұрын
That was my thought too. The rooms are nice but the gear is nowhere near what some of these home studios are working with!
Why do I remember Spike from "Notting Hill"?
Maybe a early style suggestion if the idea wasn't previously explored. With the Internet putting rock and roll music creation monthly out of business, try this if still having the power to continue making new music for profits. Have each song or record sold with a code, with the code showing this song/record was already bought at least once.
I like pianos, Andrew. I only played Mario music on my own piano because I'm a fan of Mario and Dr. Mario games. I played Queque music from Dr. Mario 64 on my piano all the time!!
Who makes that desk though, geesh, Very nice sit stand with AMPLE desktop space.
What is the name of the big speaker and big sub in the big room?
Checked out "Victoria's Secret" by Jax" Killer mix on a cool song. It really pops!
ahhh and now I see David Guetta is there now? sweet!
This was vibey, the guy in the full black seemed kinda flustered or like maybe he had a speech thing & I still loved his vibe, Awesome vid Andrew 👊 👊
I hadn't seen the inside of a big-time studio in about 20 years. So, I'm still trying to grasp the fact they no longer have consoles! Just Mice, Jog Wheels, Extra-Wide Monitors, Computers and Outboard Gear. I guess It makes sense, if I really think about it.

This has more to do with this being a label-owned studio. The studio where I came up and worked at, is two blocks away ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZYKiqNBxhbLAZrg.html )
those focals need to be a bit more together

The room alone is more expensive.
Love your channel but I'm gonna be "that guy" and say I prefer to see studios people built and paid for themselves rather than stuff owned or funded by multibillion dollar conglomerates. They have endless money so BFD. If you have to name your studio "west", "south", "north" or "east" because there are so many of them, then pass. You've done some incredible personal studios built by normal hard-working people that normal hard-working people can aspire to, and this kind of place is just too Walmart for me.

I agree. And to add to that, this whole video was extremely rushed and felt like the guy just did a massive line of coke before the camera turned on…. This was literally the worst “tour” on this channel. Very uninspired and felt forced. Seemed like they just needed to pump out another one and that’s it. Very disappointing video.

I hate hearing about the music industry machine. Studio hires a bunch of writers to make songs that they shop to their famous artists (if you can call them that) to record the song.

If you think this is at all a new phenomenon then I’m sorry to disappoint you further, it’s always been like this. Lol both artists who write their own songs and artists who get songs written for them have existed for as long as anybody can remember.
