@@susancrouthamel760 If it was about Hershey's in particular there's a reason for that. I'd recommend watching Adam Ragusea's video "Why Hershey bars taste like vomit (and I love them)". But a short explanation is that the early process of mass production trying to create a cheap shelf stable chocolate was difficult. The process that the Hershey's company eventually decided on caused the milk in the chocolate to curdle a bit. Causing it to have a slight acidic taste. Apparently, by the time there were other easy option for creating chocolate that didn't cause the curdling Americans had gotten very used to the slightly acid taste and where unhappy when Hershey's chocolate lost it. So Hershey's changed it back. Now most chocolate companies marketing in the US also adopt a slight acid taste for their US market. EDIT: I don't mean to say that you were unreasonable in deciding to know longer what their videos, especially if the youtubers in question were exceedingly rude about it or used it as an excuse to disparage America.

I hate overly negative comments of everything being processed or having sugar. Especially when they are eating things that aren't really that common for American's to eat (like Eazy Cheez in a can) as if we use it in place of actual cheese. Or Kraft singles, I literally only ever use them to make grilled cheese it's not something I would put on a sandwich with turkey and tomato. Then the reviewers freak out about how America doesn't have real cheese like bish I'm from Wisconsin....we have tons of real unprocessed cheese.

For lunchables, we also have the s’mores ones. Those are the best. They’re a cookie/biscuit graham cracker log, marshmallow fluff and chocolate chips.

Kate and Alex. A suggestion... when you are having really really hot snacks, etc, have fresh orange wedges on hand to pop in your mouth. Kills the hot right away

The orange pinwheels are meant to be fried they puff up like a chip almost however sprinkled with some tajin (Hispanic seasoning) they are DELICIOUS !!!!!

for the orange pin wheels you fry them in hot oil and they expand into chips. you can eat them on there own or with hot sauce. be carful because they can burn easily!

"Turtles" are made with pecans. A similar American candy is "Goo Goo Clusters" that are made with peanuts. Little Debbie just uses the name Turtle because Turtle is not trade marked. Goo Goo Clusters are trade marked. And peanuts are cheaper than peanuts. More profit margins

It's funny that she said the Poppables would be good in a soup. The Veggie Straws are excellent in a soup! Veggie, tomato, even chicken noodle. I wouldn't add to a chunky style, but for the more liquid soups and straight up veggie soups they are a nice compliment.

The Push-up Mexican candy comes in a variety of sizes.... including one the size of your hand. The Mexican Mango pour candy we (pre-corona) would sprinkle it in our hands and lick it off. The salty plums are so delicious. The best way to eat them is to place the plums in the center of an orange (sliced in half). They flavor the orange as you eat them. I place a few in my orange at once. Sweet and sour (salty) plums are my favorite!!!

That caramel coconut Oreo may be meant to represent German Chocolate Cake, which is a milk chocolate cake with a coconut pecan frosting. My favorite! Turtle is caramel and pecan chocolate candy. Arnold Palmer is a famous American golfer and the “Arnold Palmer” is half tea and half lemonade, apparently a favorite drink of his which has become a classic.

@@ThisWithThem the german chocolate cake was named after a person, samuel german, who invented a kind of baking chocolate used in the original recipe some 150 years ago, give or take a few decades, though the cake recipe itself didn't show up until the 50s, long after he'd died.

Watching you guys taste the saldalitos (salted prunes) instantly brought me back to me and my friends daring each other how long we could keep them in our mouths.

My favorite Oreos are the golden lemon kind. They’re so nostalgic, my grandma used to always have some in a glass jar for us grand kids

The salted plum is really popular in parts of Asia as well. We normally suck on them during long car rides (or for long haul flights or boat rides), it helps with motion sickness. Sometimes put it in Chinese medicine or in Vietnam and Thailand they used for drinks. There are many variations...some more sweet...some more tangy....and some are more salty.

Loved those cute candy necklaces. When I was a kid,we had a shopping center that had a small candy shop tucked in a corner called Charlie'sChocolate Factory. If I remember right,it had nothing to do with the book or movie. But they had an amazing amount of candy you didn't generally see in a grocery store. They had those and watches. A big watch face piece connected to the bracelet.

Living in Arizona- Sadalito’s or salted plums are very popular. Normally eaten stuffed into a half lemon. I have never liked them. Too salty and then adding a lemon🥴. 🥄 Epic box with so many good treats.

In AZ we fry them and dip them in ketchup.

🌼 When l have needed an extra dessert to take to a party, l have dipped the Pecan Sandie halfway in milk chocolate 🍫. They seem to think l made all of it myself. We had a great Thanksgiving ! My mom also turned ninty today ! It was nice to have family who live in other states all called. Loved the BOX Ruth !! Blessings from California. 🦃🥧

When I started taking low-dose chemo for my autoimmune disease, I had such a hard time eating anything because it killed my appetite and made everything taste so gross, but those Mr. Salty's kept me going. They are so good for something so bad, for sure!

For lemonade I usually do a lemon up which is lemonade and sprite or 7 up, it’s sooo much better than flat lemonade and the soda doesn’t take away from the flavor of the lemonade!

I am one who doesn't care for the Oreo filling, I always take the cookie apart and give the filling half to my husband, we do a trade off so I get his plain biscuit and he gets a double stuff! I wish you could just get the cookie part with no icing. I don't know if you have noticed, but American Oreos and Canadian Oreos taste different.

Enjoyed watching this! Everything looks delicious. A spoonful of sugar is for hiccups. Spicy food doesn’t seem spicy to me but other people think it is very spicy for them though but I am used to spicy food though. Gushers bring back childhood memories and fruit roll ups too. There are pecan turtles here too.

My hubby and I are still enjoying our monthly snack boxes from you guys! When I first started watching you I looked up who owns Walkers crisps out of curiosity. I already suspected it was owned by the same company that owns Lays and Fritos…PepsiCo! And it is! That’s why the logo looks identical to Lays except for the name! And I prefer the little cheese n cracker snack packs like the pretzel one you had there! I grew up eating them! And you’re right, they aren’t very healthy but they’re sooo good!
