Thanks Kelly. It was definitely a fun one to film. One of the most smooth archery hunts we've ever done on film. It's good when it works out like that

Good thing you took that follow-up shot, the rain would have made tracking him very difficult had he decided to move while you waited. Very nice buck, and a testament to all the time spent scouting and preparing!

bloody first arrow but not good blood. 1st shot low and far right of heart, lung zone. Admit that. Vid after shot showed buck bleeding from low, right entrance/exit of arrow. Good follow up shot. Great buck, lucky on the shot hunter.

The one and ONLY time I’ve ever took my boots off for a stalk, I stepped square in the middle of a rattlers back... buck blew out and I had a 8 mile hike out... (thinking I was going to die, any moment) of course, no cell service. Thankfully, he didn’t release much venom. I was back the next morning, and I spotted the buck at 8AM. Forced too crawl 1,600 yards. Sure as hell, I crawled into (I’d like to think) the same rattler that bit me the day before, but this time, I was on my stomach and ODDLY, I seen him before he seen me. Took my arrow off my string, and let him strike it. (After catching his attention) He pushed a 85gr tooth of the arrow broadhead down his own throat lol.. used my arrow like a knife 🔪 and killed him.. With my arrow still in his mouth!! Haha. At 5:45PM I was finally 48yards from my buck, and I sent the “rattle snake” arrow right thru him like venom lol I mean butter. 32” wide / 28” mains /30” inside spread 19&20” G-2’s. Typical 4x4 with a net score of 200” on the dot. Last day, last hour of season & 28days later, it was finally over.
