I have to say that i believe that in kingdom hearts all the games are important to the main story since (even chain of memories) all of them contain clues to the the plot.

I completely agree with that. I mean, we have 358's explanation of Roxas and Axel's motives in KH2, the importance of the data worlds created during Re:Coded, and especially the Mark of Mastery exam inside 3D. So, Kingdom Hearts actually uses its games in handhelds to further its story. You might miss things if you don't at least familiarize yourself with the plots of these games.

One thing that I didn't like about Epic Mickey 2 and power of illusion is there both not as dark and magical as the first game.

try more video games cause there are a lot who are half-Disney like -Disney universe -kingdom hearts -spectrobes

So the reason it's bad is because it's the shortest of them all and the little mermaid level?....ouch.

@Dylan Lawrence Well i woudnt give it up that high. This game, while not that bad,is far from perfect. To point out the elephant in the room, this was suppose to be an Epic Mickey spin off yet they decided to add power of illusion elements for some reason. The box art is misleading, by looking at it you will think that like its predecesors is going to be a 3d platformer,but in reality its just a side scroll 2d platformer (i dont mind if they wanted to make a 2d platformer but cmon,dont put misleading). The game took away the ability to befriend or destroying enemies with paint or thinner (Bonus:the Spatters;who are Blots that can be befreinded or destroyed with either paint or thinner,appear in the game yet you cannot befriend or kill them with thinner,you can only jump on them and their dead). Adding well recognized Disney characters while deleting the forgotten characters destroys the plot of the original games, which was being able to interact with the forgotten characters. There is not much you can do with you brush in Wasteland compared to the original games. Like ED505 stated, the Little Mermaid level is hard and the game is even shorter than Epic Mickey 2. The blots are almost nowhere to be seen, the only ones that appear are the Spatters,which dont show up that much. The story,while really good, doesnt really work well with the Epic Mickey franchise.Mickey's paintbrush attacks got nerfed for some reason. The idea of mixing Castle of illusion( which was a colorful adventure game) with Epic Mickey(which is a dark and twisted Disney game) just doesnt work. Conclusion: 5/10. While the the story is really interesting and the gameplay is fun, it just doesnt work with a dark and twisted Disney game like Epic Mickey. Epic Mickey 3 would of been a much better title.

At least Power of Illusion gives us more characters for the Epic Mickey Files than Epic Mickey 2.

Maybe they were planning some DLC to add those things that you mentioned, but then Junction Point closed down so they couldn't add anything else. Just a theory!

The Kingdom Hearts side games are pretty much always very importand for the complete story :/

Well, both Power of Illusion and Henry Hatsworth are made by developer Dreamrift Studios.

Do you want to know what I hate about this game? Why they didn't use the engine for the first Epic Mickey game. The 3DS is about as powerful as the GameCube, and so is the Wii. There's no reason for this game to not be like the first Epic Mickey game.

Nostalgia Works that's not entirely true, the Wii is about twice as powerful as the GameCube. But honestly... that's not saying much, twice as powerful is a pretty small upgrade from one console to the next.

Love that Die song. In fact you can use that song to describe 10% or 15% of Dragon Ball Z.

Aright, Foodfight comes out on Video-On-Demand tomorrow, review it. It's not a CINEMATIC film (but you reviewed non-cinematic film stuff like both Epic Mickey video games before) and it came out in 2012 (but you reviewed Arriety, which came out in 2010), but you just HAVE to review it. It needs to be seen to be believed, apparently.

Honestly, when he said "many games do spinoffs" The first thing that came into mind was "Chain of Memories,358/2 Days,Birth by Sleep,Coded" Although, i really liked all the KH Spinoffs (except that trainwreck CoM, and i will never know why it got remade)

You said exactly what I thought about the game.

Only that the plot in almost every "side game" (especially Birth by Sleep) is at least partially crucial to the overal story of Kingdom Hearts...... I seriously think Birth by Sleep is worth of being known of as an equal to Kingdom Hearts II in quality and substance. Sure it is a prequel but its like Crisis Core was as a prequel. Really stands out on its own yet is also extremely relevant and important to the overall story.

I agree with you with the Little Mermaid stage, it is tough! I spent more time in that stage than the final boss! Even the final boss was challenge!

I got all the epic mickey games and this has to be the one I've died the most on. Like my god Also, it is really cheap now, I got my copy on amazon for eight bucks. Not only that, I also managed to get epic mickey 2, and an oswald plush!

I still haven’t finished this game, I’m stuck on the last level This was the main reason I got a 3DS and... I was a little disappointed.. It’s been a long time since i played it last, and I’ve grown a lot in that amount of time, so I’ll probably have a different opinion of it, but I guess I just don’t like 2D games, or I haven’t played many good ones Epic Mickey means a lot to me, it’s what got me into gaming AND Disney!! I got it when I was like 5, and it really has greatly effected me! So I really want to like this game, but it was pretty boring, thankfully other games like Tomodachi life and Kid Icarus uprising made buying the 3DS worth it!

Might be due to the game being released on the Wii U. Since the game's controlled for the Wii U was terrible.

I have not plaid Epic Mickey 2 and I don't want spoilers BUT every one says this game was the better of the two and I hope not. It disapointed me, lacked the fun of the 1st and made NO effort to be worth of the 3DS. It was a DS or GBA game at its best. No 3D no AR no camera, no coins no breakable enviroment no multi-player, no wii fi side quests were too easy no animation just not what I exspected at all. and yes The Water levels were HARD! Like MegMan Hard. But I loved the Peete SMB3
