Danny, thanks so much for shooting and posting this incredible footage. You have seriously opened my eyes as to what the Avata 2 can do. A couple of days ago, I just bought the Mini 4 Pro and the Avata 2 with all the trimmings for both drones. It will be fun experimenting with both to figure out what my use cases will be for each of them. In fact I’m going to watch a video or two comparing them against each other. I noticed that there seemed to be a street with houses very close to the mountains. If you parked there, you wouldn’t have needed to use so much of your battery power for the flight in towards, and back from the mountain…you would have a seriously longer amount of time to fly around them. I think that location is also at a higher elevation, so you would probably be able to fly above the mountains…another compelling reason to go back. I also saw a few caves which looked like they would be fun to stop at and look inside, through the entrances. Don’t forget to search for the mine entrance if you go back! Speaking of which, I really would enjoy seeing you actually perform and post the longer video that I suggested above. The footage would be epic.

Cool video! Ive been flying FPV about 5 years. I am really enjoying the Avata 2 for things that are just too difficult with a traditional FPV drone! I'm in Florida so I'm getting the urge to fly over water more ! With a percentage rating, how would you rate your trust in the rth function if you loose the signal! I live in a heavily populated area so there isna ton of interference. My signal strength never seems to hold up like the videos like yours that are out in unpopulated areas. Do you see a big difference with that also?? Lastly when I fly with one or 2 other people, the signal strength struggles at times. We are all fighting for the bandwidth. Lol thanks Danny

Probably a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway. How do you know when you're too close to obstacles? I have a mini 2 and a pro 2. No fpv experience, but always afraid of getting too close to obstacles, whether it's tree tops or mountain sides. I'm a novice flier, even though I've had both drones for a couple of years. I just don't fly enough, mainly due to being a long haul trucker and only home a few days a week. I have taken the mini with me a few times, but don't have time in my schedule to stop and fly. Anyway, thinking of getting the Avata 2 and trying to bring it on the road. Maybe try to fly on the days I shutdown early in more remote areas.

I have a follow up to my other post Danny. I thought the FAA prohibits flight above 400 feet…unless you have the part 107 license. And even then you have to apply for a waiver. Perhaps you did, or there is other information I’m unaware of. Like I noted previously, I have just purchased the Mini 4 Pro and the Avata 2 and I want to understand how high I can fly them, and under what conditions so that I’m all lined up and in good shape as far as the FAA is concerned.

Nice video. The frame skip problem can be solved easily by merging the two video files in Gyroflow before stabilizing. To do this, simply drag the two video files simultaneously into Gyroflow and it will ask you if you want to merge. Confirm and once it´s done, you can stabilize the footage without any issues. I also noticed the wobbling in some parts of the video. Can you comment on this? Thanks!!!
