EPIC Leon Edwards' coaches inspire him to incredible comeback win! | Usman v Edwards 2 | UFC 278
Спорт
Leon Edwards did the unthinkable by defeating Kamaru Usman and becoming the UFC welterweight Champion at UFC 278 in Salt Lake City.
Edwards was presumably down on the scorecards and it took some INCREDIBLE corner advice from his team to inspire and incredible comeback victory.

He was feeling the pressure but it's not the same guy usman was facing before, leon wanted it more. Leon felt it more. The guys raised by gangsters, born on the great land Jamaica had the whole UK on his back. Bermingham was cheering slowly with their hands clasped and hearts praying. One moment for eternal glory, mom's love travelled in his veins and the rage of redemption drove him sane. He counted the shots, moved right to throw the left. Boom! Headshot and the king was laying dead, there's a new king to hold the mantle and leon showed why was the Rocky afterall. He faced the creed to win it all. P4P Who he said and shook the world, showed will against the adversity and everyone was looking at him now. The new welterweight king is here, leon the fooking rocky Edwards showed the world. Big up Brumtown
Leon Edwards looked like he was losing confidence in himself. His coach kept the fire burning in him!
ufc is gonna use the "headshot, dead" clip in every promo involving Leon now
Love the way he didn't follow up with the hammer fists. He knocked Usman's ego to the spirit world.

There'a nothing wrong with Usman's ego. The man fought his way to becoming champion and he defended his title each time like a Champ. Tonight he lost. ALTHOUGH I'M A SUPER BOXING FAN, THIS IS WHAT MAKES THE UFC MORE EXCITING, BECAUSE EVERY MATCH IS ALMOST UNPREDICTABLE
I always thought he lacked that extra confidence needed to make a champion, now I see he’s team has pushed him over the line. I think from now on he’ll be around for a while 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

@@jacobraudies6191 Not too sure Leon will be improving having confidence after this win. He’s coming into his prime turning 31 Usman is 35 this is around the time things start to slow down 1st KO loss he was winning the fight but not sure how his confidence and body will hold up after this….. (Unless he goes from Roid-man to Super Roid-man 💉💉💉💉)
Now I only think of Kamaru's impression
I love Leon, I grew up a couple of miles from where he is from and I always felt very happy and proud of him and his success. I can remember the feeling of utter despair as the rounds slipped away against Usman and I could see that Leon also felt the fight slipping away. The cornering was just sensational and exactly what was needed, it could have come straight out of a inspirational speech from an unbelievable hollywood film. I'm so happy for Leon and his team. Everytime I drive past Leon's giant poster near Birmingham City Centre it makes me smile from ear to ear. The nice guy finally got rewarded for once.
His corner’s encouragement in the round 4 will go down in history!
His coaches knew how much he had put in for this, and how rare these opportunities are. Many fighters never even see a world title opportunity, and so when they could they gave it their all during each round to edge their fighter towards the right mindset. Incredible stuff
Goosebumps seeing this makes me proud to be British pure emotion that’s all he needed to be inspired what a coach and what a fighter this is what the sport is all about moments like this

This was one of those moments in any sport that as he was getting advice from his corner, I started tearing up from thr genuine faith his coaches had in him. Pulling him back up from him just giving in to if it went to decision. What a great moment in the sport.
From an English fan's perspective, I never thought anything could top when Bisping won the title but this really did. Vs the p4p, down on the scorecards, his trainer screaming passionately for him to dig deep and then BANG. Headshot. Dead. That's it.

Watching this live and hearing Leon’s coach saying, “come on son, stop feeling sorry for yourself.” And everything else he was telling Leon between rounds really amazed me.
