great review, great drone. I think I will get this one as my first drone :) I wanted the mini 2, because of the portability and the sub 250gr , but it just lacks so many features, the most important being the small sensor, active track and the obstacle avoiding sensors. So i think I will just order this one and be happy with it :D PS: I really like the photo capability of the A2S too.

Thanks for uploading the full res clips. I think this camera is impressive in the amount of detail it’s resolving at 5.4K, at least in the center of the image. All that resolution combined with f2.8 seems to be revealing pretty visible softening in the margins (field curavature? Or just bad corners), and surprisingly, away from the point of focus when it’s focused at infinity. That’s too bad. No camera is perfect, but it does seem that the optics are running a little behind the sensor and codec on this one.

Curious why it doesn't have aperture control. I can't figure out if I think that's a deal breaker or not for me but it seems like an silly market segmentation decision to me - they're probably keeping aperture control for the pro model.

I think they just made a decision to separate the pro "mavic" line from the "cheap, amateur" Air/Mini. They gave us best camera and some tricks like Mastershots, but at the same time they remove some advanced functions, SDK (third party software support like Litchi) in Mini2 (DJI doesn't answer questions abut A2s SDK support), waypoints and of course aperture. So I think I need to wait and think twice before buying it.
