Epic fishing | Behind the scenes footage | Swains Reef

Join me on an epic fishing trip as we catch a huge range of reef and pelagic fish species on lures. I also get a hook through my finger with a red throat attached. The location is the magical Swains Reef and our home for 10 days was Bigcat reality charters with Wilson Fishing. Catching Coral Trout, Red throat emperor, Giant Trevally aka GTs, Green Jobfish, Spanish Mackerel, Chinaman, Hussar and more as we battle with sharks that continued to eat our big fish. Enjoy

Great video as per usual, thanks for sharing. Some great memories fishing the Staines came back, those Chinamen sure go hard. Think you gotta a good one and that stripped bastard pops up. Great sport fish but. Note to self, put small bolt cutters back in boat. Keep telling myself that and keep forgetting. Job done.

Bad luck mate! After a friend caught a bird with the hook too large for the cutters, I've leant the lesson to pack cutters large enough for all hooks. A few days ago, I watched another fisherman file down the barb to unhook himself.

yeah mate always handy to have the cutters on board. That video you watched with the file was me mate lol. Mackerel put a treble through my foot last year lol.
