Epic Daytime Coyote Hunting~ Nine Down~ ( 6.5 Creedmoor AR-10 )
Спорт
We have been super Impressed with the @gowilsoncombat Tactical Hunter Model WC-10 Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Its sporting an 18 inch 1:8 Twist Fluted Barrel. This gun has shot several 5 shot groups under 0.5 inches @ 100 Yards with an average SD of 4 on the Chronograph (5 shots). We are shooting the @lehighdefense130 Grain Controlled Chaos Bullets on all these coyotes. Once entering the chest cavity the top half of the bullet fractures into multiple petals which impacts a much larger surface area for hitting vital organs, blood vessels and the CNS! The base of the bullet continues through providing an exit!
The @ICOtecGameCalls Nightstalker & Outlaw Predator Call used in this video both have a 300+ Yard remote range, the ability to play two sounds at one time, are super lightweight and have a ton of volume. The large speaker produces crystal clear sounds at high volume for those windy days or really reaching out and pulling in those far out coyotes! The new open reed and closed reed mouth calls produce phenominal sounds, are made of silicon so they do not make noise while you are walking.
We are now using the @AtncorpOptics X-Sight 4k Day/Night Line of optics on all our hunts. In this video we were using the ATN 4k 5x model paired with the ATN ABL 1500 Rangefinder. With one press of a button on the scope the rangefinder ranges and instantly moves the reticle for a dead on hold for the range and load you are using. It also records through the scope so you can capture and share your hunt or look back at the shot to make sure it was a good one. The range is also displayed/recorded through the optic!

This episode is called " There is No Tomorrow " - at least for these coyotes. The lesson you're giving them cannot be passed on to their kin to learn how to avoid you. Often you're too far away and their death is Supernatural, like: the wrath of God. They should invest in cellphones to communicate their doom. After all is said and done, keep up the great work you do. Cheers for the whole family and many more videos to come. Good Job !!!
Y’all are both good on the camera and rifle 👍

Your vids are the best yote hunting I have eve seen on the net, great shooting, great equipment and a job to get done PURE AWESOME! We got out first taste of snow this morning we need a bit to come and stay and the temps to get down into the single digits or negatives then the coyotes will be looking for food and a lot more receptive to calling. We have wind to contend with in my area a lot, I love the .204 Ruger but at times wind dictates the cal. used that day! Keep up the great work guys!
Great vid man I am knew to hunting coyotes and I was wondering what tripod you are using on that AR 10. Tks man🤙🏻🇺🇸

Great hunting and great setup guys.. Love the AR's.. That 6.5 puts the hurt on those dogs! 😛 I'm in Indiana and we don't have huge open areas to hunt like that, and I can't wait to retire and move out west.. 🙂 May I ask what the brand of tripod is you're using? Thanks and best regards from the heartland. South Central Indiana. USA. Tim
What do you do whit all the hides since ther is no market for them.Here in Wisconsin we cant give them away

Hey, is this culling meant to kill them all off or is there a target number? And you double tap some times when necessary, why?

I’m sure you’ve been asked this many times but when they’re running left or right and away from you how much do you lead them at a couple hundred yards?

Depends on how fast they are running and the velocity of the rifle im shooting. If they are running full speed at 300 with a 6.5 under 3k that will put you at school bus leangth or greater...

Most people don't eat them, but hey,. try it. Never know toll you do. These animals have internal parasites that gets into their organs and meat.
Whats the benefit of killing all that are you going to collect them afterwards and use its skins to make hats ?

Congrats!!! Did I hear you say that those hand calls are from Ico Tec? Do you know if they designed the calls themselves? Or did they have a custom call maker come up with the designs? (I make and sell...as a hobbyist... custom horn howlers. And a hand call collector. So whenever I see a new call, it perks my interest.)😎 (And I am a retired coyote caller. Unfortunately.)😞
@coyotedown

Thank you!! Yes they are the brand new Icotec hand calls. I have no idea who designed them but I can tell you they did one heck of an awesome job. That is too cool. I bet making your own calls is a ton of fun!!

@@coyotedown Thanks for the response. Yes, those calls sounded great in your video. I guess I shouldn't have made assumptions.😁 I had made an assumption that possibly Ico Tec was sponsoring you. I will have to do some research on those calls. I have an acquaintance/friend who sells their recalls, but with his own custom sounds.
@willhorting5317
Жыл бұрын
@@coyotedown Yes, working up my own calls can be fun. Lot of work too, the way I do it. (No nice shop, or nice tools. A drill; a Dremel; a 4ft work space in my storage shed; and a lot of good old elbow grease, as I do all of the horn sanding by hand, from the way it looked on the cow, to a smooth mirror finish. And I cut and tune all of my own reed designs, specifically for what the customer wants. Only thing that is pre-made, are the tone boards. Been doing this for 15 years now. Have had customers in 43 states and 2 Canadian provinces... so far... and just shy of 900 calls made. Oh heck 🤦♂️🤦♂️, look at me rambling. Sorry about that. I'm getting old.😁😁) Have a successful Fall/Winter of hunting!!

I'm a huge fan of the 243 Winchester and 204 Ruger but the 6.5 Creedmoor is definitely growing on me. It's such a versatile caliber from up close work to extended ranges and drops coyotes with authority most of the time.
