EPIC: Africa (with Special Guests Voddie Baucham & Conrad Mbewe)
My round-the-world EPIC journey recently took me to Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. Here's just some of what I saw and experienced as I searched for the history of Christianity in that beautiful part of the world.

My aunt was a missionary in Zambia for many years. God has called her home. She was a wonderful, godly woman.
The children singing warms my heart. Thank you for sharing

Beautiful!!!
I could listen to African children singing hymns all day long! No one expresses joy in song quite like them! Great video Tim!
Africa is such a vast continent with so many different countries which are equally diverse. In order to help build our identity and uniqueness try and use our individual country names. Most ppl in the western world are ignorant about us. They lump everything into one and don't take time to learn the difference and so cannot reach the individual for Christ.
Got choked up hearing the kids sing Nothing but the Blood
You were in my home country ,😭😭😭. I haven't been back in 14 years. I was born in Hwange, next town over from Vic Falls.
Que chevere gloria al Señor por eso a pesar que en este 2021 la pandemia 😷 debe estar complicando. Y gloria al Señor por todo Dios les bendiga saludos desde Quito Ecuador 🇪🇨
Have also been in that same Trinity Baptist Church on a mission in 2018; had such a blessed time of worship. Great history in that town!
Been waiting on this since I saw your tweet that you were heading home from Africa, thanks brother.
Aaaaw my heart was really touched. How beautiful it is - in the midst of trials and much hardships-to sing of the blood and love of Jesus
So encouraging. I'd love to meet you when you're next in Zambia Tim 😃
Great video! I’m from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
Zondervan published my husband’s first Bible and he’s from South Africa!
Thank you for sharing with us! :)
Greatly encouraging!
Great vlog Tim. Wondering what the background song in the beginning is.
God blessed them in Nimbia
Gravity has no control over that waterfall
Wow
Hello! How could I get involved in theology school online please?
Not quite brave enough to fly the drone up and over the falls, I see? ...fair enough eh.
And the point was? Come on, this was nothing more than a glossy , but not very good, travel blog with a hint of Christianity and an ad for a theological course at the end. Where was the discussion about why the child was abandoned? Where was the discussion about the problems faced by the Church in southern Africa? Where was the discussion about how God is blessing the African Church? When is the Reformed Baptist Church in Zambia going to send missionaries back to Scotland (because God knows it is a dark spiritual place today and we need them)? If you are going to spend money on such a trip either don't waste it or else be honest and call it what it is; TOURISM.

Paul Charlwood Hi, Paul. The greater purpose behind these journeys is gathering research and footage for a book and documentary that will be released once it is all complete. These KZread videos are just little glimpses of the travel and experiences. Their primary purpose is to keep friends, family, and interested people informed about where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing there. There are lots of stories that will be told in the final production.

OK, good. I'll accept that there will be meatier content in the future and look forward to seeing it. However that still leaves the problem of perception. I am a Christian and am interested in and involved in overseas mission work. I should fall well within your target audience yet I found this video disappointing and irritating. Perhaps your title raised my expectations too high but since I think I am just a fairly average bloke I doubt I am alone in that. Something to think about. Thanks for taking the time to explain.
