Epic 12-Mile Hike in Canyonlands Needles District - Surviving The Joint Slot Canyons!

Join us on an unforgettable adventure in the stunning Needles District of Canyonlands National Park! In this video, we take on the challenging 12-mile Chester Park Loop, starting from the Elephant Hill Trailhead. Our original plan included adding the 4-mile Druid Arch Spur, but exhaustion and running out of water forced us to stick to the main loop. Despite the challenges, this hike was absolutely breathtaking, and "The Joint" slot canyons were our favorite part.
About the Needles District: The Needles District in Canyonlands National Park is renowned for its colorful spires of Cedar Mesa Sandstone, offering some of the most picturesque hiking trails in the American Southwest. This area is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers, with its diverse geological features and awe-inspiring vistas.
Useful Tips:
• Always carry plenty of water and snacks for long hikes.
• Be prepared for varying terrain and pack appropriate gear.
• Start early to avoid the midday heat and give yourself plenty of time to complete the hike.
