Coming from a belief system that taught salvation was determined on works, there are few scriptures more important to me than Eph 2:8,9. I literally engraved it on the back of one of my bibles

Can someone explain to me why it isn’t enough to believe in God as an omnipotent and all powerful single entity, the One that is suspending each and every single one of us in this reality, to trust and accept as your personal Lord and Savior, but that one must believe that God specifically came down as a man to earth in order to gain salvation? Why is that specific occurrence more important than simply believing in His overall existence as Lord and Savior?

To deny Jesus is to deny the Father.

@@d3adp94 No, to say that this existence has no creator is to deny God. To say that there is no God is to deny God. Denying a caveat placed upon God is not denying God, it’s denying the caveat. God cannot be dependent on a caveat, otherwise that is placing limitation on God’s power, which is antithetical to God. Why must one believe that God specifically came down as a man to earth in order to not go to hell? Why is that specific occurrence more important than simply believing in His overall existence? I’m not trying to be defiant so I hope you aren’t taking offense. Thank you for your response.

@@wc7zr you asked a question. I answered according to scripture. You need to read the Bible again, not pieces. Your questions will be answered. God knew all along his son would come and die for our sins so to deny his Son, is to deny the father. You can’t have it your way. You want “monotheism” become “Muslim”. I say this in quotes because a triune God is one.

@@d3adp94 I’m not speaking abt religions. Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, etc don’t get to speak for God. God can stand without religion, so while you mention scripture God isnt reliant on scripture for validation so if you can please explain I would appreciate it. No religion owns God. God owns us, regardless of acknowledgment. An atheist can’t run from God, the One that created them, no matter how much they deny God’s existence bc God is literally suspending them in this reality and is therefore bound to the reality that God made whether they acknowledge it or not. But you’re saying believing and accepting the supremacy of God as Lord and Savior in one’s life is not enough, the triune is more important. Why? Especially when the triune is a subset of God, God still exists despite it. It does not seem merciful that God would deny His servant who wholeheartedly dropped their ego and accepted God in their life, bc they did not consider the Son, moreover the Spirit even. They just said God, whatever God may be, and left it at that. And you’re saying that God will deny that servant and condemn them to hell?

Jesus knew he was a gift of God of salvation to the Jews-to the world-NOT-as supposed and taught down the centuries-salvation from the punishment meted out by a wrathful God to "sinners"-BUT-to save people from MYTHS and FALLACIES-which created BAD RESULTS of their "sins." But because Jesus loved the humankind so deeply, he was prepared to teach and heal in defiance of religious teachers. Jesus was prepared to "die" on the cross to reveal the TRUTH-the TRUTH about God as Creator, the TRUTH about Life, the TRUTH about Existence and the TRUTH about Love. THIS IS THE TRUTH BEHIND THE CRUCIFIXION OF JESUS AND ALL THE REST WE HAVE HEARD IS MAN-MADE CONJECTURE ARISING OUT OF PAGANISM. Jesus was a gift from God to humankind to help people work through their magnetic-emotional bondage, and find the true Path of Life leading to the joy, abundance and perfect wholeness of the Era of Love and Peace. These were the perceptions, the desires, the intentions, the goals and the thoughts which Jesus bore within his mind and heart. This was the earthly mental-emotional framework clothing the spiritual consciousness hidden within the head and figure of Jesus.

God is a Holy and perfect God. No sin can dwell with Him, so Jesus came that we may have our sins crucified on the cross with Him that we may also rise with Him. I think you're missing the point which is plain as well as true, that man may not live by bread alone but every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Salvation was brought by God's own hand. Reading your comment I worry for you, you sound so angry, I hope you get well soon.

Christians pray for the Will of God to be done-but-what does the Church believe is the WILL of GOD? 2000 years of prayers for the world to be rescued by the grace of the Will of God appear to have been unheeded by God. But perhaps throughout this time they have been answered. When Jesus was on earth, he taught people: "Those who kill by the sword will die by the sword." "You reap what you sow." "Love your neighbor as yourself." and "Turn the other cheek." People realized Jesus truly meant these statements and that killing was wholly wrong and should not be countenanced under any circumstances. But-Christianity, Religious Ruler of a large section of the world population-which should have outlawed all war for any reason-permitted wars to break out, cities to be destroyed and millions of people to be killed. Christians have tortured and destroyed one another. Why did this happen if Jesus Christ was truly the Christian Leader? I'll tell you WHY it has happened. Do you remember that when Jesus walked the earth, he frequently told people: "Your FAITH has made you whole." "Your FAITH will move mountains." Simply stated: "The kind of life you will experience begins in the mind." The true reason for your downbeat lives-plagued by ill-health, poverty, enmity, ignorance and unhappiness-is your strongly held fundamental belief system. Your Life is fashioned by your deepest and most strongly held beliefs, and by those ideas and opinions in which you have the strongest faith. And what do the majority of Christians have the strongest religious faith? They believe that God compassionately decreed that His beloved Son, Jesus, should be born on earth to a Virgin and crucified and killed in order to pay the price for the sins of the world. And, as some churches claim, "The sins of man will be washed clean in the blood of the Lamb." Are you not reminded of God whose anger against men was appeased by the burning of lambs and birds? Are you not reminded of Solomon's glorious temple built especially for the people's burnt sacrifices of lambs and birds to plead to God for leniency and even forgiveness for their sins? What kind of beliefs do these words portray?-belief in wrong doing of a magnitude worthy of punishment. A belief that it was possible to take the lives of animals, birds, and then Jesus, and load them with people's sins in order to have it completely forgiven. What kind of devious ethic was promulgated here? What does it say about the ethics of the initiators of such beliefs? What kind of consciousness would such imaginings create? And when such consciousness began to materialize in the events and experiences of the world's Christian inhabitants, of what kind do you suppose they would be likely to be? Is this not the same God of the Holy Bible, God's Sacred Word, who sent plagues upon the Egyptians and whose Angels killed all the Egyptian first-born children and animals when the Israelites, led by Moses instructed by God, escape from Egypt? This history of the Jews is the Great Event celebrated in the yearly Passover. The Christian Church has not outlawed war. How can it when Christians stubbornly believe that God has countenanced war as a means of procuring more land for His Chosen people and Christians? Can you now see why the chaotic state of the world remains the same despite the prayers of the Christian Congregations? And then you have been told that your sins have been washed clean in the blood of the lamb-and who is the Lamb? Why, yes, it is Jesus... who, more than 2000 years ago, died on the cross. Does it not now become crystal clear-WHY-prayers for the Will of God to improve world conditions have been unanswered? It is the Will of Man that killing and slaughter should be an expedient means to settle swiftly a score between nations and people in conflict.

How greatly are you misled by your own passions! When we steal, we will lose things too. When we fight, wound, maim and kill-we will be maimed, wounded or killed in body and or in spirit. When we start a war, it will be a long and bitter struggle. Everything evil we have endured, we have been the original cause of it. We have the ability to choose the way we wish to think and live. And we choose the way we will think and live by changing our consciousness from antagonism to unconditional love and acceptance of everyone equally. If you imagine the damage and hurt you will like to inflict on another, your thoughts will reach your enemy and will erode their strength according to the intensity of your intention. Do not think that your thoughts has dissolved and is no more. It rests in electromagnetic strength, taking on form until it rebounds to harm you too. You can do much damage with your thinking and feelings. Damage to others and damage to yourself. Therefore, guard them-the tools of creativity-well, and at all times turn to God, and ask for relief from any thoughts which is contrary to unconditional love. According to the power of your prayer and the sincere faith in which you raise your mind to God, your thoughts will be imbued with new life and unconditional love.
