Great wild race, a perfect line from the Glacier de Miage to the summit of Mont -Blanc, a flight of 2500 meters... Ice and mixed snow, slopes of 50° max, rock/mixed passages in 3 delicate... Thanks to Marina Nogueiro, Kevin Chale, and Christophe Blanc...
First ascent on July 2, 1872 by Jean-Antoine Carrel, Johann Fischer, and Thomas Stuart Kennedy.
1st descent on August 7, 1873 by Cesare Gamba, Julien Grange, Revel (porter), and Henry Séraphin.
1st winter on January 5, 1888 by Antonio Buscaglia, Fischer, Baptiste, Daniel and Joseph Maquignaz, Émile Rey, Alfonso, Corradino, Erminio, Gaudenzio and Vittorio Sella. Descent via the Grands Mulets.

years ago I climbed the route on the side, couloir Saudan, very beautiful 50 slope direct to the summit! this side of mont blanc is very authentic and wild with almost no persons around.. tournette was the rist italian normal route for some time back in the past, before they open the other Gonella route which is quite problematic for the crevasses to cross usually at mid summer... luckily they did put some ropes in the beginning of the trail to the quinitno sella hut, cause it was very dangerous i remember without them.. maybe they should marke as well a bit better the way up to the hut to avoid get lost, but the hut up there is very confortable.

Was the couple short-roping through the whole route? Didn't look very safe throughout... often no rope is better than pseudo-rope.

Beau versant sauvage , belles images , merci. Pour l'anecdote , le bouquetin géant( 9:15 ) est toujours visible sous l'aiguille de Trélatête😉
