Marina di Maratea is in the Basilicata province of Italy, very near Calabria. This place would be my base for the next adventures. I stayed at Marina di Maratea for a few days to hike on the blocked road to Castelcocco and to hike the Maratea Skyline. The beach is great, I ate a few pizza's at White horse restaurant.
