Ep5 Overlanding Namibia, Buggies in Dunes & Camping at Spitzkoppe! ROAM Overlanding

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Wrapping up our bucket list time in Sesriem, we were ready to make our way to Swakopmund for a fews off in the city! But first we needed to get to Solitaire and enjoy a lovely apple strudel and a cappuccino! The drive to Swakopmund would take us through some incredible moonlike landscapes! Eventually we made it to Walvis bay, and then Swakopmund. We camped at Alte Brucke for a few days, enjoyed incredible restaurants, and then decided to hit the dunes for some fun! We rented some quadbikes and side by sides, tackling the epic dunes was an awesome experience! It was a great break but we needed to get back to it, and covid tests were on the list as well as getting to Spitzkoppe, where we would spend an incredible evening for our second last night in Namibia before we make our way to Botswana!

Your Hiluxes would have made a meal out of those dunes. It would have tackled those easy-peasy. My LC80 loves the dunes, and it too is setup for overlanding. The secret as you may know is having the correct tyre pressures.

Somehow you are not inspiring me to want to visit Namibia. The emphasis on your gear and cars and just the driving makes out most of the video. There is hardly any information about Namibia. No real pictures of the quirky Solitaire, just you lot sitting and eating, again, and spending days in Swakopmund and no pictures of Swakopmund’s is just a waist of time.

  • @RoamOverlanding

Our time in Swakop was more for us than for the show unfortunately; It was a time for us to take a break from filming and relax a bit and just enjoy our time without the pressure of filming; I hope to come back some day where I can show it better for you. But I hope you take the time to enjoy the rest of the series.

This is beyond awful. Product placement and the narration is simply a commercial for products. Seriously, a Jackery logo on the outside of your vehicle? A storage system? This is just a info commercial for products that were probably either given to them or they were paid to hype.

I think he always made and makes it pretty clear, when he works with companies. And it's said even in the beginning of each video that this series is sponsored. I mean, what do you expect? This content in my opinion is quite professional and something like this doesn't get made for free and since you're not paying to see this video, the money has to come from somewhere else. And the narration is actually really good imo and even a step-up from previous videos. My girlfriend even sometimes watches these videos with me just because she likes his voice and the narration even though she's not interested in the content 😅.
