EP3: Two Families. Unseen Journey: Hector Bellerin
EP3 covers the day-to-day rehab in Barcelona post-op and how we formed a rehab family to help support each other through the long rehab days. Regardless of the ups and downs we all faced we all pulled together in order to get us all to the finish line which we were all focused on.
The episode also covers my time at home with family and how important this is for me during a time where I needed them the most.
Along with my final preparations to head back to London and begin my road to recovery at Arsenal.
If you have any questions around the documentary feel free to comment and I will try and get back to you.

Wow, this is emotional, we need to stop being dismissive of the impact of long term injury. Good on you Bellerin publishing this and educating some AFTV members who sometimes are too quick to jump to conclusion.

I regularly watch AFTV! They are always super understanding of players with long term injuries! When Hector got injured they said he will be gone for rest of the season and he will not be him self the first 2-3 months after he is back. They give stick to players who are not motivated and just run about. I Love Hector, and he seems like an amazing person. Just his crossing is awful sometimes and I don’t like when he gets to often caught out of position, before the injury he’s speed helped him out, now he is not as fast, but he will get there! I personally believe that hector is the future of Arsenals right back position for many more years

We need a Spotify playlist from Bellerin
Imagine going through all this and after 2 games back some idiot goes 'ahhh he's lost his pace and is rubbish'. People have no idea. Proud my club has such a socially conscious and down to earth player.
every time I hear his music taste it just gets better and better. Kanye, to Brent and now Tyler?! Its the fact I have the same music taste as my idol for me

This is why professional footballers get paid so much money, they have to go thru a lot of pain and have to be mentally strong .
I feel bad for giving him criticism after a bad injury like this, it takes time for players to get back to how good they used to be before the injury so I 100% back Hector
Great idea to document your journey back from an injury like this. I’m 23 and had a bad ACL rupture too. Even as a amateur player, it still effects your whole life almost as much. It was a long journey but the feeling of being back playing is indescribable, especially when you love football. Thanks Hector, always rooting for you x
Well, in the end he's just like us and kid to his parents. Look how his mother wash his hair, his dad drive him everywhere like he used to do. Everything that he's do it's for his family, family always comes at first.
Hey Mr. Belllerin, I am a 13-year-old soccer player that just broke my ankle. I am working to become a pro soccer player. I am really inspired by you as a player and your rehab. Hopefully, I can succeed as much as you did! Thank you for the work, keep it up! I wish you the best at Barc.
A beautifully told story ❤️
Unlikes are from DT and his ppl
Lying on the bed 2 weeks post op, just got my stitches removed this morning and it's amazing...doctor said that I can now walk with both feet but with the help of crutches...
I get what he's gone through 100% .Currently on rehab from my surgery 6 months ago. Still not great but at least there's still hope after watching this
Watching this is so weird being someone that has had ACL reconstruction. Hectors experience and feelings are so relatable, it’s a mental battle as much as it is physical definitely. Really happy to see him back to where he is now. Well done bro
Hector i salute your goal when you scored for us against Chelsea. I almost cried that day because of happiness and joy!!! What a left foot
A brilliant insight Hector!
What a beautiful episode. Well done Heccy x
This story is on another level,
Respect for doing this during such a difficult time bro, makes me as a gooner appreciate you more when I see u play after all this trauma. 💪🏾
I really love the way the doctor treated Bella like a son. I love his catalan accent toom
This is extremely emotional 😭🥺 I so happy you overcome this.

Loving it so far 💕💕
Hector, you are all that's left of Wenger's Arsenal and we love and support you so much!! You've given us everything, got injured and came back playing for us and we are immensely proud of what you've achieved so far with us. Not only that, you are trying to be more than a footballer and to educate and help people and it makes everyone respect you even more. All the love and support from Arsenal Romania Supporters Club!!
As a Tottenham fan I respect him to be so positive after such injury man ! Strong mentality
@9:50 The post surgery 'phantom' knee pains I can totally appreciate. It's a mental challenge as a physical one especially late at night before going to sleep. Well done!
Seeing staples on the human body makes me wince, doesn't look natural 😫
5 weeks after my left knee mcl surgery and found this series, emotional and inspirational! Top guy hector!
I am sorry on behalf of other Arsenal fans that ever booed you or complained after the injury that you are not doing much although I never criticized you but seeing these videos got me more than emotional and I could not hold back the tears. Proud of you, Hector

Did you feel almost angry/frustrated at the fact you were angry? Can’t imagine the early stages being easy but it really seemed mad bro. Big ups for this!! My RB 😤🔴⚪️
Nice shorts ahah, the first week after acl surgery i cried every time i was doing exercise but now i’m back💪
This is fire.👍🤝
Proud of you bro
I think every footballer must make these kind of videos! Then people will realize before criticizing them after injury. Me myself having ACL surgery next week can feel every inch of this video! I have cried occasionally not because of fear of surgery. But because of a feeling of relativity
Por fin subtitulado en castellano... se agradece 😌
Ok I'm now a huge fan
I have the same injury also when playing football 3 days ago. I do wish i have the same rehab treatment as these profesional footballers do. Eventhough i am not a professional, but i my passion towarda the game is really crazy.
Hectors actually so humble
Big up Hector.
our homegrown are the best 💛
Rehab is key. I wasn't able to complete mine after surgery on my arm and it still hurts from certain angles 20 years later..

Nothing can replace the love of the parents and the family, not the money, not the fame,. If you dont have that you have nothing. At times fans dont see and understand what goes on behind the scenes. The cockney Spaniard is an example to many footballers on how to behave. Just dont wear pyjamas outside Hector, it's not cool.
