EP2 Croft Solo Series: We Find An Epic River Campsite and Take a Polar Plunge in Devil's Glen!
The Crofts head through West Glacier, Montana, continuing east to the mountains. After traveling back in time to the age of the dinosaurs, this overlanding family finds a great campsite by the river and makes pizza from scratch on the grill. A hike to the swimming holes of Devil’s Glen makes for a refreshing (but chilly!) summer afternoon. #xoverland #soloseries #montana

That's awesome! Take a couple weekend trips and see what you want/need for gear. You will save some time and money that way :) Enjoy!
Throughout the years I have watched / sub to several overland families with their aventures and gear and just think when I ve seen it all you come up with the most bad ass set up of them all. Great editing too btw love the background music with the narration. Good luck n thanks for sharing.
Awesome Clay, this video figure out how a family trip should be... As Italian guy, i'm pretty sure that you have some more room to make a better Pizza😁

Always was amazed how clear the water was in Montana. Sure miss that place.
“Beat it to fit, paint it to match”. I feel it’s likely that will be the motto on our Scout build and summer adventure... 😂
Paper Maps. Excellent skill to have.
Great job guys. Clearly the most important thing that you have ever done. God blessed you with a beautiful Family, and now you are making the most of it, when it counts.🙏👌👍 sincerely your friends at MC Ranch Overland.

Memories of a lifetime!!! Awesome 😁
Thank you for letting boys be boys and showing them the way to true manhood.
LOVE your "parenting" family vacation. Simply wonderful!
"It'll be these moments they will cherish forever..." With all the memories growing up with my Dad, I can't tell you how true that is! 😁
Love that rig...Ford need to send you a 250 or raptor lol
Love these adventures. It’s what inspired me to venture out with my family.
Looks like your family is having a great times. The boys will remember this the rest of their lives.

First time watching... can’t believe how epic this channel is. It’s like the Cohen brothers directed it.
Awesome show!
Excellent! Thank you for a great video.
Wow! Montana is gorgeous! I absolutely have to put that on my list. It cracked me up when your son jumped into the river with his hat on. I guess it's a nice way to cool down when it's 85F. I really hate the mice, and how they get into everything! Two weeks after I bought my 4Runner, they had gotten into my cabin air filter. Since then, I put a metal plate with a grid of 1/4" holes drilled out that covers the intake. I haven't had them get into the cabin air filter since. I've also heard that bright lights in the engine compartment will keep them out.
Oh my gosh, what a family adventure. The boys are so cute, with the damn freckles. I'm jealous. Very nice work Croft fam.
Love from India ❤️❤️❤️

NOLS Cookbook! Everyone should take a NOLS course if possible. I still remember the summer I spent on a NOLS course backpacking in the Wind River Range over 35 years ago. Great video, glad to see that your kids are enjoying themselves and so involved. They will remember trips like this for the rest of their lives. Epic campsite along the river.

Man I just have to say what an awesome dad you are! It is so awesome to see you showing your kids what you love to do and teaching them along the way. You are so good to them and I hope they know how good they have it. I love doing this stuff now but I wish I had, had someone to show me at a young age. Absolutely loved it and cant wait for Ep3. You guys rock.
What a pleasant surprise to wake to, another episode!
Thank you for sharing these wonderful vids with the world. My wife and I have a goal to start overlanding in two years with a similar set up like yours. You have given us plenty of good ideas and boots on the ground assessments of the journey. As a final note....being a retired US Marine and Police Officer, I was extremely impressed to observe you carried self protection along with you. I never leave home without it. Happy trail and Sempi Fi.

another awesome video with fantastic editing skills by Caroline, Pete Jr. and Dan van Stralen!!
Wow! You make Montana so inviting! Gorgeous country...no wonder they call it Big Sky Country. What a great adventure to share with the kids. Watching you and your family brings back incredible memories of camping trips throughout Europe and the U.S. when my kids were growing up. We were all fishing fanatics as well. I think kids become more rounded adults when they are exposed to outdoor activities like camping, fishing, boating and four-wheeling. I couldn't help but notice the Van Stralen name in the credits...awesome job of editing guys. Well done!
Great memories made right there!
I love your videos, such a great journey for all who watch. It's really cool how you bring your family along on this powerful trip across this beautiful country we call America. Please keep up the good work in producing such quality content!!
This is why I'm looking for a great rig to take my grand babies on adventures
Ryder is definitely going to continue this
I go the chills watching you all jump in that water or maybe it was just that look in your boys eyes fighting through the cold. Good stuff.
I've been to this area on the Sun River, near Gibson dam. Very beautiful! Drove across that same bridge. What a fantastic spring that was. Many elk everywhere in the east side of the Rocky Mountain Front.
That's was cool I guess
You and your family have inspired us to hit the road and adventure as well! Not as equipped as yall but thank you so much for the inspiration! Our 4 year old and 4 month old are going to have a blast!
Im a fan of this channel all the way from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 your trips and adventures are so awesome

I can only think, that Clay was called chicken, ahaha, before entering the water ... ahahah ... I would do the same thing Clay!! I'm 49, and there's no way, my daughters will win on me !! ... I'ts getting there, LOL, but I refuse the easy way !!! ahahah Guys ... I can never thank you enough for this ... keep on ... looking forward for more !!! Cheers
An apron is a must! Where’s Shelly’s?! I wear one in my classroom and at home in the garden and kitchen. Same reason, protect the clothes. Learning to read a paper map is an invaluable skill. I grew up using a Thomas Guide to get around my state and am so appreciative for this skills. Plus, a paper map just emits adventure! Epic family adventure - thank you taking us along the journey.

Every new video is proof you are always innovating and creating the best overlanding content for everyone to learn from. As someone in their mid to late twenties, wanting to have kids. I have no doubt, I will do everything I ca to inspire my kids to enjoy the outdoors as much as y'alls does. Keep up the amazing work @Expediton Overland

Clay... you guys do a GREAT job with all of your videos. I've started taking my 12 y/o camping and he's loving it. I've also go into hiking. We live in the North East and there's LOTS of wildlife. What is the chest rig you're using? I'm a police officer and am looking for something like that to use when hiking in the backcountry. You're inspiring us to keep exploring. We got up to Acadia in ME this summer... WOW WOW WOW!!!
Great music for Egg Mountain. Did you run into Alan Grant? He's out there somewhere.
I used to live on the Dearborn in the Bob! I would walk out to it every morning. Such a special place back in there, so glad you were able to make it out there. Next time I'll fill you in on the secret swimming holes 😎
Hope you guys tried the famous huck bearclaws at the polebridge merc!

Enjoyed seeing you in our corner of MT! Spotted the sticker on the Pole Bridge fuel tank the other day; far less crowded in late winter. Now you have me wondering; was that you in the side by side that stayed a respectful 100+ yards from our camp on the Spotted Bear River?
