I like this app but it’s not a good idea for me a few minutes ago and I didn’t know how much I had it worked for me I just had a few things I had done before it started it to my iPhone so I had no green orange 🍊 and it was just a little annoying I can’t even play the app it is kinda

This video was exactly what I needed! I was analysing a film score and I wasn’t sure which instruments were used. I could only tell that I sounded Indian (I don’t know why I thought that). It turns out it was one instrument out of the tanpura classification. But I still can’t tell which. ☺️

I'm a 0 knowledge on Classical music sense but I usually listen movie songs only. Once I started watching your video unexpectedly, it was continuing 2 hours of time and couple of episodes watched. Your videos may not helpful to learn classical music but it creates interest and respect at our classical music. I just appreciated very well, Anuja Kamat. Thankyou for this great primer on Indian instruments. I was talking with a friend about the wonderful tonal quality of Indian music, and my friend mentioned an instrument I hadn't heard of, which made me want to look up a video to know what the instrument sounds like, and that got me seeking out education on the various instruments and what they sound like, and this what exactly what I was looking for!

These instruments are part of my IGCSE Music Exam written paper under topic of Indian Music which is what I’ve learned which is the melody is based on the notes of a raga, small number of instruments and he sound is pitch bending! As a fact my Tanpura (which my teacher said it is spelled as Tambura) plays as the drone!

Trivia: Bansuri is Venu in Carnatic and Shehanai is Nadhaswaram equivalent :) Like Dhol we have older instrument called Thavil.

Trivia: Bansuri is Venu in Carnatic and Shehanai is Nadhaswaram equivalent :) Like Dhol we have older instrument called Thavil.
