Another great video Chris, but I notice that you improved the quality of the video drastically, no shaking, no strange objects and great audio, very impressed with your work and how you improved it for such short period!

Thanks so much Anastas! I've upgraded to a Røde Video Mic Pro and I'm filming in C4K on a second E-M1 Mark II now (down scaled to 1080p for KZread) - definitely help with the audio and image quality. I'm surprised at how much the E-M1 Mark II has to offer on the video end of things - and I'm still learning!
This is sooooo AWESOme!!. Great shots man. I am from South Africa and seeing it trough your lens is just the best.

Great episode Chris, and while I myself have never been a huge fan of people in shots (wayyyyyy overdone these days) these actually do add something to already beautiful location ... cheers for sharing and safe ongoing travels ....
@chriseyrewalker
7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nigel! It all comes down to personal preference. I like a person in the shot to make the image/location look more attainable. People see a person and imagine themselves exploring this location. I sort of want to awaken the explorer in the viewer...
@BimblesWithACamera

Agree, it can work, but sadly folks seem intent on putting a person in a landscape just because it seems to be the flavour of the day .. and sometimes the landscape can be rather nice without the person :)

Hi Chris, if you are interested, I can take you to Newlands Forest in Cape Town and show you around. Unfortunately there is no water in the streams, but I am sure you will be able to shoot a few shots with your models and trees. It is partly indigenous partly man grown. Message me if you are interested, Newlands Forest gallery is also on my website and flickr profile.
