Many theiories i read online on the finale.what my theiories is he is in a coma 2018 and did wake up but still laying on bed.the scenes where he is promoted and talking to his aunt n mother.i think that was just a scenery of an acceptance about his family ..if rhey choose to let him go in the end and he choose to let go.bcoz from the start he struggling in either to choose to wake up or choose to not to.same to his mother ..so in shorts..while in a coma and maybe hearing his mother message and family to give their final goodbye if he is happy to let go .so im pretty sure he did not commit suicide to go back in 8i.because when he is n the office he says he did not feel a thing so it shows he already nearly dead in a coma..the scenes he jump off the building is only a scenery that he accepts the facts that hes dead from the start and in 1 or 2 ep is he feel a thing.while in a coma 2018 and 88 is both real and half real?so the fact he choose 88 is his real world now.
