I have done what you are looking to do to your trailer, but my trailer is smaller (7x12) and only single axle. But I put two golf cart batteries in a series on the front, a diesel heater for 12v heat, an old sink and two sets of disco beds as well. All LED lighting inside and out with individual switches. Now I want the decked system and topper like you have it. That’s my next project. I’m so glad you mentioned that saw because I always keep 5 gallons of gas in the back of my truck and I now have a hunting dog so I want east storage for my dogs stuff and all my hunting stuff when I don’t want to bring the trailer. Great video and thanks for making!

Looks like you've got a good platform to build on with that utility trailer! It'll be great to watch it all come together.

That's a great looking set-up. My wife and I have been talking about doing this as well.

Ive converted my 14 foot trailer into a small toy hauler as well. I made a set of beds that fold down along the sides at the back half of the trailer and are hinged so they can fold up and store along the walls. They can be two individual bunks with a small walkway in the middle. But I also have an extra piece of plywood than can fill the center gap. when that happens, the two mattresses get turned the other way (sideways across the trailer at the back) and can be put together to form basically a king size bed for the wife and I. The beds fold up when not in use, and then the 4 wheeler, dirt bikes, or motorcycles, etc can be rolled in and strapped down for travel. I look forward to seeing your progress on the trailer. Always looking for ideas to improve our set ups.

That saw is for real. I made my living as a tree trimmer for 7 years and still do it on the side and that’s the saw I use. It’s worth every penny.

I don’t have that exact model saw however one very similar... honestly never been more impressed by a hand saw of its size and class. Everything I’ve cut down and or trimmed with it has been a breeze and it’s not dulled at all.

Looks like a nice start to trailer. I am looking at building one with shower and porta potty in front that also has a coolbot on an air-conditioner. Can cool/hang animal and then cut up and put in freezer. Only have to go to Wisconsin from Ohio to get the one I want 7 cf. Keep showing updates/build of trailer.

Brian - you may want to try neoprene dive booties for stalking in wet conditions. I find the rubber grip soft soles provide a little more traction in wet grass than smooth leather mockasins, and offer bit more protection from thorns and cacti as well, while still being able to feel the ground. They can get sweaty though, so not great for really warm weather, but good quality wool socks help.

Bought a Decked system for my full length bed Tacoma under my SnugTop. Provides lots of space with the drawers, I can sleep on the deck under cover. It is THE solution for an industry strength drawer system. Fits perfectly and provides lots of flexibility

Silky saws are amazing. One you try em, you'll never mess with anything else. As for decked, the true value / utility imo is the ability to put heavy items on top of the drawers, like a four wheeler or snowmobile. At $1250.00 though, using it with a topper to sleep on seems like a big waste of money. I did pretty much same thing years ago with a sheet of plywood, 5/4x12 board, some rubber roofing, and jet sleds for the drawers. I can't lock anything, but suburban is already locked and I'm not worried about that. I know $1250.00 is not a lot of money to some people, but seems crazy to me, unless you need to park a wheeler or something on top.

Hi Brian, the Decked system looks very cool. I bet the temperatures get very hot in storage compartments, which I don't think is very good for the bow limbs or arrows. Is that a concern?

Looking for an enclosed trailer for this very purpose. Does the heat affect your bow leaving it in the back of the truck? I’ve been thinking of getting that setup, just worried about the heat.

Doesn’t effect my HOYT. But the HOYT is one of the toughest bows on the market-it’s built like a tank. But even so, I don’t store the bow in my truck year-round. I only keep the bow in my truck when I’m traveling with it.
