Asiya Hasan is originally from Delhi, India and came to U.S.A in 1993. She was raised by conservative parents who were progressive enough in their thinking to send here to a private convent school in skirts! She is forever indebted to them, especially her dad/Abba, in inculcating good values of healthy eating, exercising, love of gardening and endeavoring to be a good Muslim woman. She has two wonderful daughters, who are growing up to be her friends and have made her proud. She is currently embarked on a journey of self-discovery and is using writing as a tool.
