Dude rolls a lap on the track; that opportunity was just too darn irresistible ... just like I would do! Way to go! Nice video. Thanks. Come on up and ride Ragbrai some time.

Thanks Joe! Like you said, too irresistible- I had to do it. Rode Ragbrai in 2019, that was an epic time! Thanks for commenting and watching!

Those little things that look like tree stumps are called cypress knees. They are part of the trees root system.

You missed all the fun Friday night in the Ham. It wasn't too bad in my area, but Pelham had some damage and power outages. I'm glad you were able to have some enjoyment at Gunter Hill. There's not too much to do, but it's a nice campground.

Thanks for watching and thanks for recommending Gunter Hill 👍. Yeah I lost a big branch from a tree- been sawing it up and hauling it to the street today.

Apparently we’re getting both the Cradlepoint Wireless WAN and the cell extender. In a low access area so will report back on the results FYI.

Turns out we did not get the cell extender as salesman thought Cradlepoint did that task as well. Took us several tries and my nephew found the solution- remove BOTH SIMS and install the TMobile SIM. Works marvelously in combination with the roof antenna. How did the We Boost work out for you?

Picked up our Ollie this week. Still working on setting up the Cradlepoint. Slow going. I promised I’d report back. Seems it eliminates the cell booster option. Comes with 2 SIM cards looks like Verizon and ATT via yet another 2 companies and quite pricing for the service. Should work with a TMobile SIM but no joy yet. Tech support with Cradlepoint quite excellent. How is your DYI system working for you?

@@thinkwell2 Thanks for the follow-up. I have installed it, but haven't gone on a trip to use it yet. Sounds like the cradlepoint is a hotspot. You might still benefit from an external antenna. Take a look at visible.com (owned by Verizon)- they might have a cheaper plan.

Well as of today I believe the Cradlepoint solution may be the only chink in Oliver’s armor. Have spent hours with their technical support trying to get something to work. Systems like Wineguard provide 2 roles: extending reach of camp WiFi and providing enhanced cellular access. For the latter, one may use the third party option provided by the 2 SIM cards. However, they cost almost 3X the going rate. Could not get TMobile SIM to work and was told needed to authenticate with TMobile who said the SIM is authenticated. WiFi extension took a lot of tweaking with tech support and despite what appears to be a more than adequate antenna on the roof, we have not been able to get this feature to work. That said, please to report on your results which appear both affordable and realistic. Also, very open to comments from others who have a working Cradlepoint using some solution other than their third party association. All that said, the Oliver is a perfect solution and sets the bar for others.
