Ep 4 - Finale - Boondocking Idaho - Lemhi Pass and the Lolo Trail - Haven't Seen It Yet

In this four-part series, we take you on our September 2020 boondocking adventures in Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. We will show our free camping spots in the Teton, Sawtooth and Bitterroot mountains.
In our previous episodes, we camped overlooking the beautiful Teton Mountain range. Spent a night in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest where a herd of sheep visited in the morning. We visited the waterfalls in Idaho Falls and Twin Falls. Saw the natural sculptures in Black Magic Canyon and found a wonderful campsite along the North Fork Big Wood River. Kayaked Stanley Lake, enjoyed the Sunbeam hot springs, visited the ghost towns of Custer, Bonanza and Bay Horse.
Come along with us as we continue to explore more of Idaho & Montana.
Boondocking sites:
- west of North Fork (45.37553, -114.08809)
- along the Lost Horse Creek, MT (46.13939, -114.42873)
- east of the Lolo Pass, MT (46.75713, -114.42202)
- along the Lolo Highway near Junction 522 (46.55626, -114.95743)
- along the Clark Fork River, MT (47.32232, -114.90667).

How was fuel availability on your adventure? We are planning a Idaho adventure and curious if there were filling stations on the way? Thanks for sharing.

That was also my concern before we went. Our rule was if we get to a half tank, fill up where ever we were. There are plenty of small towns along the routes we were on and we didn’t even come close to having problems. Lots of nice friendly people in those small towns. Have a great time in Idaho and thanks for watching!

When you encounter another truck on the pass like that isn't it mountain goat rules? That's how the Dodge Ram got it's name, right?

Very nice video, thanks! So sad about the smoke and your GoPro. Who would have thunk someone would do that out there in the middle of nowhere. Do you folks hail from Michigan? We’ve been following your videos and have seen you on GA’s live chat once in awhile.

Thank you for your kind comment! That exactly what we thought about the GoPro. I didn’t even think twice when I left it out overnight. But I guess we will in the future. Luckily they stole the oldest one and we still had another one for the rest of the trip. Yes, we’re from Michigan, the west Michigan area to be more specific. As you can probably tell, we’ve enjoyed Grand Adventures videos. The spot we found in our Idaho episode 2 by the North Fork Big Wood River was because of his previous video we had watched. Thanks again!

@@HaventSeenItYet ....as GA Marc said when his kayak oar was stolen, “provides a reason to get a new one’. It still stinks. We’re near AA (SE Mi). Picked up a truck camper last November. Paths may cross out on the road one day. Keep up the great work!
