I just love you two together! You remind me of myself and my daughter Katie. Diana asking your daughter to cast on the tubular cast on made me laugh! My daughter always started "if you teach a man to fish, Mom...." that old saying! And I would say "Just give me the fish already!" Haha...I still have her fix my big mistakes for me! Thanks for such an enjoyable episode again!

Diana, if you don't want to do the tubular cast on, you might want to try the alternating cable cast on instead. I find it much easier to do and it gives a very similar look to the tubular CO.

I enjoyed your podcast. The woman from the Knitting traditions podcast from northern Norway just had her first baby, and she frequently features children's patterns now as she knits for Nelly. Also, Kevin and Ray from Needles at the Ready have shown their jelly roll blankets. Ray has a bag of remnants that are all DK and just chooses as he goes along.

Great podcast! The bauble shawl in your thumbnail caught my eye. It is already in my library; I'm going to have to move it up my to-do list. Congratulations Katie on your new little one. I didn't know you were pregnant. Prayers for a healthy rest of your pregnancy.

Wonderful podcast and so happy for Katie that she has her mojo back. Beautiful knits ladies and I received Summer Lee’s book last month for my birthday and can’t wait to cast on but I’m being strong with myself to finish the two pairs that I’m almost done with before I co another pair. Though I have the yarn selected ❤

Another great podcast ladies!! I hope that Kaity's move will not interrupt your podcasting! Diana, I pray your health is ok, and Kaity, I'm so glad you have your knitting mojo back!! I love the sweaters you are wearing, and that baby romper is adorable. I have found I am knitting more frequently with a 2.5 needle lately--?? I have been wanting to use Knitting for Olive yarn. I don't have a LYS, so I am on the lookout whenever I get to a yarn shop. Diana, I am also not a fan of tubular CO!! Happy Anniversary, Kaity, and Nana Camp sounds wonderful! I had all my family here for 3 days, and we were busy with 2 5-year olds and a 3-year old!!

When I had 3 preschoolers and had to go shopping, I held the hands of the 2 youngest and told Jennifer (the oldest) to take the hand of Stephanie (the youngest) because I knew Jen wouldn't let go of her sister's hand. When I shared my reasoning with her just a few years ago it kind of burst her bubble because she felt like such a big helper. I assured her she was a big helper. I enjoy your podcasts and your faith mentions.

Nanna camp sounds so fun and sweet! Katie, you’re right. You adjust quickly to one more. I had my fourth last year. Every time it’s a big upheaval, but it’s amazing the way that God allows us to adjust so quickly to our new norms. Love catching up on your projects and tidbits of life.

Santa parade and hot chocolate in the winter and tons of water play in the summer ☀️ Keep doing what you're doing. You're at the top of my list for podcasts. Sonya, Almonte, ON, 🇨🇦

Katy, so glad to see your knitting mojo back! You have some gorgeous things on the needles. Good luck with the move. Moving is So. Much. Work.!

Katy, love your pink sweater!! Stunning pattern and yarn combo!❤ Diana, I am in the same boat as you with the weekender crew…I tried to do the tubular cast on, epic fail, maybe I’ll send my yarn to Katy and she can cast on both 😂. I’m actually thinking of doing a provisional cast on for the bottom of the body (BUT soooo many stitches 😮) and then pick up the stitches at the end to do the ribbing and do the Italian bind off. 🤷🏻‍♀️can’t decide what to do! So I cast on a pair of socks!😂happy knitting ladies!!! 🧶lovely podcast as always!!❤

Diana, I’m doing the Garden Cardigan also. Glad I read ahead!!! I wonder if you put the provisional cast on back on the needles and just cast off if it would have given you the same results. I don’t know if it would have given the edge the same structure as the crochet cast on.

Is the crochet cast on the same as the cable cast on? You use a crochet hook and put it on the knitting needle. There is a way to do the tubular cast on using 1/2 the number of stitches and working a few rows as set up. Forgot where I found it but it's easier that way.

What a fabulous surprise to see you two today! I was going to watch on the weekend when it may have been quieter and then decided no, it could be quiet now and I really enjoyed catching up with your lovely knits and news while knitting on something for me! Kaity you are radiant and your shawl is glorious! It nearly looks like it could be a good baby blanket size too! I have found that THE BEST blockeds for socks, is the feet they are intended for! I can relate with setting small goals too. Lately I have also in the last week of a month been making an effort to finish whatever is on the needles so that the first of the month can be cast on day! Diana, the Joji shawl looks like it would go beautifully with the top you have on too! Your smaller balls of sock yarn might make nice baby socks too! Having all your children and grandchildren around surely brings you joy, and I am sure as much as you give to them. How sweet that the youngest one wants to bring her Mamma so Mamma can join in too I imagine! Maybe next Grandie Camp you can get them all knitting 😊 Everyone could knit a row on something everytime they came. How fun could something like that be! Thankyou both again for sharing your time and beautiful knits. I watch every episode, just don't always manage to get the time to comment too! The friendship between you both is so evident, and I love the genuine ooohs and aahs and excitement and affection your share with each other and us. Happy knitting and best wishes to you both (hope the move goes smoothly too Kaity). Look forward to seeing you both again soon!
