EP. 30 Onefinity CNC - Tiling a Life Sized Operation Cornhole Board
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Did you know EVERY Onefinity CNC can cut material bigger than the cutting area of the machine? That's right! It's called tiling, and, because of the open-ended design of all Onefinity CNC machines in the Y axis, you can cut longer material than your cutting area! Most major CAD software (like @vectric and @Carveco design software we sell) includes this feature for free!
In this episode, Morgan shows us how he cut a full 4’x8’ sheet of plywood on a Onefinity Foreman (4'x4' cutting area), by tiling the toolpaths in @vectric Vcarve This process allows you to cut designs larger than , and on material larger than your CNC's fixed cutting area.
By feeding the material through the Y axis, tiling breaks the toolpaths up into sections that fit within the machine's cutting area, and executes the operation one tile at a time. And for this project, the best and only logical way to demonstrate tiling was to cut a life-sized Operation cornhole board.
Big thanks to @FierySquirrelArt for "Operationifying" Morgan and @TotalBoat for providing the epoxy!

So Fun!
I feel like I need to make a set :)
Can Vectric do a "rotating" tiling? The back of my small CNC is closed but the front is open, so instead of sliding my panel halfway, I need to be able to rotate it 180 degrees from its center.
I like it! Thanks for the idea
No MJ, I won’t stop it. I’m definitely making this…but with the original graphics.
❤Ok, so… where can we get the plans? 😂

@morganhop ?
Can you do a more detailed video about the epxoy you use? Or link to the products?

noted!
I've often thought about "Blocks" under the 1F to give your machine more Z Axis. In theory, will this work?? So, is there no 4x8 machine coming after Thanksgiving then? 😏 Thanks for simplifying tiling in this video.

Look up the “rowdy Roman collection” on our site. These already exist !
Good to know, what softeware do you use?
