Also, you don't denounce the people who did those things and you deny it. You also deny your blood relations with Hindus and your past. I remember Swamy asking Owaisi if, being a Hindustani, being born in a polytheistic multicultural society..IF he can say on mic that any non-muslims way of perceiving god and their journey to connect with the creator is equivalent to that of a muslim because any non-muslim will have no problem in saying that Allah/God/Ishwar are different forms of the creator. He couldn't say it, as expected. 🙃 That's the difference. The 'kaffr' mentality prevails.

Respect isn't one sided. You cannot have such medieval mentality in a polytheistic society, a mentality that emerged in the deserts of Saudi Arabia by camel rearing nomads at a time when all existing major faiths had already been existing for centuries. People like Owaisi are one of the 85% Muslims who voted for the creation of Pakistan but stayed back not because of the love for the nation, but because of the fear of losing ancestral wealth. They believed in the 2 nation theory, so why bother.

So not sure what 'constant attack' you're talking about. You make yourself useful, the country and fellow citizens will honor you. You become a rioter/pattarbaaz, then you'll be handled appropriately.

As a BJP party member, i think this is most sensible talk than any other opposition leader. He is very clear. I never hear any comment against the nation form his mouth. There is a Verse called " the Honest enemy is far better than fake friends".

Also changing the language for things with sentiments means a lot. Like doing Hanuman aarti in arabic, or reciting Quran in Sanskrit in mosques. Although not everyone speaks Bengali but sings National anthem in Bengali.

The song in hindi so meaning in hindi matter and he is not from arab counties, so it should not matter what is meaning in urdu or Arabic or any other. Anyway even "Madar" is similar to english "Mother" which are derived from sanscrit ward "Mata".

We will cry tears of blood because there wasn't a complete exchange of population, something that pretty much all leaders including Ambedkar, Patel, Lajpat Rai, etc agreed upon, except for Nehru and Gandhi. The Hindus of Pakistan and Bangladesh are almost exterminated, not to mention the communal violence that Hindus face in India every day even today.

Owaisi is a great person and a leader. He presents his facts prominently, unlike other Muslim leaders who often fail to do so. He is highly educated and possesses sharp intellect. None of the parties have a good Muslim speaker like him. Now, both Hindus and Muslims should understand that only education and good jobs will lead to prosperity. He supports Muslims, which is good and natural. He is fulfilling his duties. There are negative individuals on both sides, but one should understand the politics. The podcast featured a great set of questions, resulting in a genuine political conversation. Owaisi ji was raising valid questions as an opposition figure in the China-India conflict debate. It underscores the hypocrisy in our democracy and secularism. A person can openly work for his community, such as Muslims, even having a party dedicated to them, and still be considered secular. On the other hand, if a politician openly declares working for the benefit of the Hindu community, he will be labeled as communal and eventually compelled to apologize."

I am a supporter of BJP but I respect Owasis and I find him that he is very clear about his views and quite an articulate person. Some of the points he raised are quite pertinent and my personal respect for him has gone higher

It would have been quite nice, if Smita Prakash had invited Dr. Anand Ranganathan and Mr. J. Sai Deepak as well on the very same show. Anyway, there is always a next time. All the best

He's a good deflector! For most of the questions, he didn't provide a direct answer but deflected. He's so transparent that his agenda of wooing the Muslim population can clearly be seen. Quite a fair interview which shows Owaisi raise some valid points. But on the issue of madarsas, I have these counterpoints. For modern education, why can't the muslim students study where the non-muslim students do? Why did Telangana open separate schools for minorities instead of letting young children mix with fellow Indians of all religions? Why is there a need for so many madarsas if all they impart is theological education?

@prasadkashyap Telangana Government open the schools for MINORITIES but not specifically for Muslims.. however along with other Minorities large sector of underprivilaged muslims are benefiting from it. .. Islam has 5 pillars amoung which is Shahada( witness) and salah ( prayera) are just 2. To learn and offer proper way of prayer which is offered in Arabic, muslims need to read Arabi language which is not our first language .. and to understand n give witness we need to underatand quran hence its mandatory on every muslim to understand Quran and to follow it.. n so every parent make sure their kids are been educated and Madarsas( english translation of it is school) play a key role. Ppl who can afford the tution fees would offer it to Arabic teachers and fecilitate private classes for their kids but who cannot would go to the public madarsas. The convent schools are run privately by churches or other institutions. They are an even smaller minority !! Also Owaisi said only students want to become aalims and muftis to to madrasas. Why is there a need for sooo many aalims and muftis?

But you will find Kattar Muslim in every nook and corner of India because Hindus don't care about other's religion. This is actually a big defect of Hindus and that's why Hindus have been wiped out from Afghanistan and Indonesia because we give too much tolerance to others.

Also his opinion on Zakir Naik is controversial because remember Zakir Naik defended Osama Bin Laden. So Owaisi pretends to be nationalist by hiding behind technicalities of constitution. Just wait for some time in upcoming decade most of the population will be educated then even muslim population will understand.

Recently I was traveling in a suburban train in Mumbai. On a station called Mumbra a Muslim person with his wife and 4 kids boarded. He had 2 boys and 2 girls. The elder girl was approximately 4-5 years old, while the younger girl who was in her mother's arms, might not be more than 1 year old. Both these girls were wearing hijab. Are you telling me that kids this small do it by their choice or its enforced on them? Muslim countries around the world are boycotting practices like hijab and here people are forcing their women to wear it. Are people around the world who are abolishing this practice not Muslim? On one side you cry to be included in main stream and at the same time you deliberately differentiate yourself on practices which are absolute.

Was a good interview.

I greatly like Smita and generally my beliefs do not converge with Owaisi sahab’s thoughts. Even in this lecture I might not agree with 100% of his statements, however biased lens of Smita in this episode is quite apparent.
