@@shettyroshankumar all the major temples are located in Dakshin Kannada, Udipi, Chikmagaluru and Uttara Kannada. Anna dhana is a tradition in all major temples including Dharmastala, Kukke subramanya, Kateel, Mangala Devi temple, Udupi, Sringeri, Horanadu, Murdeshwar, Kollur Mookambika , Gokarneswara etc. Please get your facts rights. Karnataka probably is one state where anna daana is followed as a tradition, Tirupati could be another example. We are not talking about every single temple - but major temples only

@@nagarajgosukonda3381 Mr Pradeeps comment reads "Each and every temple in Karnataka". there is no mention of "Major" temples only and also it meant entire Karnataka. That is what i wanted to correct. The practice of anna prasada or anna dana is specific to certain regions of Karnataka and not entire karnataka. There are major temples in other regions as well for ex chamundeshwari temple in mysore.. malai mahadeshwara temple. ghati subramanya temple., yellamma savadathhi etc. Another point is temples in tamil nadu and some temple in kerala also serve free lunch for devotees. zeenews.india.com/news/tamil-nadu/more-temples-to-come-under-free-meals-scheme_774067.html

Namma Karnataka has everything, hills, historical places, jungles, pristine natural beauty, the coast, the Western Ghats, lovely, humble, polite people and great food. Crystal clear waters like this without a trace of rubbish or a piece of plastic shows how connected with nature our people are. Dakshina Kanara in particular has the most down to earth, devout people who know as much about the modern world as any of us do. I hope this pristine piece of our state remains undisturbed by tourists. God bless Karnataka, and I am so proud to call it my home!

Mr Harish, very good episode. One state, Many worlds...Karnataka That's where you are. Very happy seeing each episode of K'taka coast thus far. Eager to see the remaining. The Dharmastala institution is truly a bridge between god and man. The amount of service given back to society here is tremendous. God in the institution form. And Mr Veerendra Heggade has done enough things to receive the highest civilian award in India. For now he has Padma Bhushan and Vibhushan

Exceptionally wonderful trip. Afterall it's my native place. Dharmastala is only few km from my native town. You have ventured into interior of southcanara district. Dharmastala is famous for education , health as well as social reforms in that area. Without any bearear of faith the SDM is giving valuable service to needy ignorant people. Our priminister Modiji also visited this temple. Really touching effort from your side to explore India in true sense.thankyou .
