I am so glad that I saw this video. I am in a season of frogging and re-knitting. Socks, sweaters, what ever I won’t wear because I should have/could have had a garment I was proud of but was afraid to start over. This is slow fashion. I want to feel proud when I wear it. And yeah for purple!💜

Hi! Okay so, I think the most important thing about the Iza cardigan (and whatever garment you're making really) is how it makes YOU feel, so I'd say wash it and block and see how it feels. However, I'll say that I think the sweet and delicate lace motif looks very good on you, not to mention the lilac color because we all now you're the queen of purple! Literally, I'm working with purple yarn and I can't help but thinking "wow, Rachel would love this"🤣

I WOULD LOVE IT I KNOW IT!!!! Thanks for the kind words about the Iza Cardigan. I think I'll probably have to reknit in a size or two up. We'll see!

I like your Iza Cardigan! I think this will be nice as an open cardigan, the lacework sits very nicely. Hope you are happy with it after blocking.

Been meaning to tell you I love your haircut! Also, your knitting is exquisite! That Iza cardigan is beautiful - it looks very nice on you. I try to learn something new with each project, just because I enjoy learning. I guess that ensures that future me will be more skilled! Never thought of it that way before!

My fingers are so crossed that your cardigan blocks out as you hope it will. I know that if it doesn't that it would make sense to frog. What I admire about you when you frog is that you get right back on the horse and begin reknitting the project instead of tossing the yarn in the corner whilst muttering profanities. 😆 My name is Alison and someone used to call be Ali and it drove me bonkers. However when I started a new job, that I am now retired from, my wonderful coworkers called me Ali and I simply loved it. Maybe it was the French accent. I'm not sure but it made me feel really good.

Thank you! It may take me a month or two to get back on the horse, but I'll do it eventually! And it makes sense that having an accent to pair with a nickname makes it more endearing vs. annoying!

I also have body issues from time to time, but I try to keep in mind what a good friend said to me deecades ago,"You are a Renoir beauty (think red hair and heavyset). About your body: zoftig--means attractively curvy and voluptuous! OK--sorry if that is way too personal. I love your cast and I always love present-day Rachel's humor!

I feel your pain about frequent frogging! I finally bought a dress form, so I can check size easily. (I bought one in plus sizes). That being said the sweater I am working on looks like it will be a bit too big (+10”). But it is 100% cotton so it might shrink a little. I think you might be MUCH happier w a cardigan that fits without stretching w blocking. I know it’s a lot of work to undo, but you want a piece that is comfortable. It is soooo pretty! I love your chicken!

I am bigger girl and I love to wear little cropped (negative ease) cardigans over my dresses. I also absolutely hate the pulling on buttons so I actually sew my cardigans shut so I fully get the look of a well fitting cardigan without all the fussing.

You’re knitting is beautiful! Your lace cardigan looks like it fits well, it’s just a matter of whether you’re comfortable with no ease and a bit cropped. I like the way it looks on you. I’m no expert on sizing, I’m still trying to figure it out myself. I just watched a video by Truly Myrtle in which she talks about sizing and fit. It’s her most recent one. Maybe you’ll find it helpful. 😊

I love hearing all the details of what you are going through with your knitting. I agree. What is the point of getting something finished if you can’t wear it or are not happy with it? I’m working on the Garden Cardigan by Ankestrick. I love how it is going. I have had to frog back several times but it will be so worth it when I have a completed cardigan that is not fudged to get finished soon. Love your videos. 🧶

I mean no judgement at all, but if you haven't taken your measurements recently it might be helpful to do so. I have a similar build as yours and I always take my measurements before starting a garment. I did this just the other day and had a few different numbers than expected, I had last measured probably two months ago when starting my last project. (Also worth noting that tape measures stretch over time! I learned this recently and one of mine was off by almost half and inch in the first few inches, oops).

My name is Ashley and my co-workers.Insist on shortening my name to ash.And it is the most irritating thing. But I just grin and bear it because I don't want to be accused of making a big deal about it. I think learning to be kinder to our future self is really important.Because then when you become that future self you're really frustrated with your past self.
