I have no words for how much I appreciate Jon. Who would think a show about bars and alcohol could encourage people to be the best version of themselves? Thank you Jon.
Can you put the camera on him.

The camera isn’t the problem, Taffer’s mic is. I have to turn the volume up every time he is talking, but I have to turn it down every time other people talk. It’s a horrible set up for a podcast. I can’t believe that they didn’t have a sound guy balancing the audio. Probably the lowest quality podcast I’ve heard.

Bruh look at their view count they can't do shit lol someone's funding dumpster fire too
I was at a Dominos picking up Pizza and when I paid, the machine automatically asked me about adding a tip. The cashier said, "God, I hate that thing. We are hourly/salaried workers, please don't leave a tip because I have to claim that on taxes and I'd rather not do that." Him and I started chatting about it. He said it only started when they switched to a new terminal for card transactions. It's a money grab by the company that makes the terminal. If you spend $20 at Dominos and that company takes 10%, they get $2. But if you spend $20 and add a 20% tip now it's $24 total and at 10%, they get $2.40. The company that makes the terminal wants you to tip every time because it raises their bottom line, not because it's a gratuity for service.

If that’s the only reason that’s creepy 😂
my three big gripes with this podcast is; 1: them not having the camera focused on the person talking (or at least having a show with all four of them), 2: the audio levels are not consistent at all. 3: you can hear a ton of background noise so it's really distracting still honestly great to hear jon talk outside of the show, great perspective and makes me like him + the show even more
32:33 It’s so strange to hear Jon Taffer drop the f-bomb because most of the time it’s censored.

The audio levels are all over the place on this podcast. Put some headphones on so you can hear your levels and know when you're too close or too far from the mic and adjust accordingly. Otherwise, love Jon Taffer!

I also think they should focus the camera on the person talking. Jon was talking multiple times throughout the episode and the camera was just focused on the other two guys staring at him nodding their head. First time watching this podcast so idk if this is how it tends to be or not.

@billyjansen7690 just shut the hell up, he doesn't need to go get a hobby just because he stated that the videos sound levels are off. Its a fact the audio levels are weird asf in this video and they should always try to improve their videos. When you have a guest on your show you put the camera on them when they are talking. We don't want to look at them the whole time when they have guests.

I think this is a great podcast. However, there were times I thought my phone was frozen because it was only on the two of you. It seemed like a person who wanted their face in there as much as possible even when they weren't commenting. I hope the show progresses and that you guys are going well. There are just a few things to work on. I wish you the best!
The reason all those machines have select a tip preference even when the employee wouldnt normally receive tips is because the machine vendors for the fancy card readers as apart of the deal with the business, automatically take x% of all card transactions regardless if it’s a tip or not. The card companies are the ones forcing the tip screen to pop up

In Quebec Canada a 15% tip is added to your bar and food bill, it’s the law, you don’t have a choice to pay it. You can have shitty service, bad drinks and disgusting food, waiters with bad attitude, they don’t even care about you anymore, they know they will get their tips anyway.

Microphone thumping kept happening. Yall need to use wearable mics or put the mics on tripods. Every time you hit the table it's like I’m sitting next to a 808 drum. Some one should of caught this, do you all monitor the audio in real time?

Ok - I love that you had Jon on to talk about the Bar Rescue production process, but for 5-6 minutes (24:00-30:00) straight, while Jon is talking! , you have the camera on you guys the hosts. Why? Just thought I'd say something: when the guest is talking, have a majority of the camera time on him/her.

Craaaazy move not having the camera on him the entire time he was talking about Bar Rescue. Did you guys think your facial expressions were more enjoyable than watching him speak? Wild.
No offense, whoever did the camera work needs to learn how to use a camera or edit videos
i would def pay closer attention to the mix on your vocals on future podcasts. sometimes your vocals are super super quiet and then get REALLY loud. great interview otherwise - just wanted to point that out :)

And now the nfl and sunday ticket is getting sued. And the whole tipping thing, tipping should only be for like good service and what not. I firmly believe that restaurants and bars should pay their employees a proper, living wage.
So you'll never find Taffer's Whisky in Canada, that I know of anyway.

Tipping shouldn't be for the sole purpose of their whole paycheck. Tipping should be for good service. The restaurants need to pay their employees a proper wage.

There’s prolong points where you have the camera on not the person talking for several minutes. Bizarre. I don’t want to watch two dudes shake their heads and say “huh.. yeah….. right.. got it.”
PAN LEFT BUD!!!
You need a podcast rescue. All this money invested and less than 100 comments in 4 months with a guest like John Tapper. I was ready to click off the video before he even started explaining his whiskey because of how bad your audio is. $700 mics and you put them on the desktop so everyone listening can hear every time someone bumps the desk or puts their hand down. You also need to balance your audio, it sounds like you dont even have a gain limiter setup. Theres a bunch of background noise and every time someone gets too close to the mic their breath is punching me in the eardrums. Also why no tight shots on the guest when you have multiple cameras? Who wants to see this guy with a ponytail who has nothing of value to add to the conversation? If you only have 2 cameras with you do a wide shot of everyone and a tight shot of the guest. Would have at least gave you a better thumbnail ffs.
Jon is an industry professional (both bar AND film), but he's so passionate that he occasionally loses focus and gets too far away from the mic while speaking about his craft. I'm impressed by that level of enthusiasm, it's the mark of person who cares.
Why is the camera on u guys all the time. Listen we are here to see him you people. Are nobodies. We dnt care about u people. Only jon
54:20 And that's part of the problem...
he needs to start with how do the bars get on the show, how do they get the info from the bar, how they first communicate and all the damn cameras in the bar but the employees still do dumb shit even though they know they on camera. all he did is explain the show, we know all that shit.
i find it hard to believe they remodel an entire bar in one day. plus they need god knows what in repairs and replacement kitchen shit. nah son
Las Vegas has the best nightclubs in the world..? LOL... You guys need to travel outside the USA. Start with Ibiza. Then London, Berlin, etc.
