Ep. 119 - Tree felling and more work on the kitchen

We've had the trees at the end of the house thinned out to reduce the risk of tree damage in the future. Work has also continued on the kitchen renovation and Bulgaria celebrated Trifon zarazan day.
We have also started teaching some Bulgarian sentences! This week it's this...
Говоря малко български, но не съм много добре.
which translates to
I speak a little Bulgarian, but I'm not very good.
Finally, happy birthday Keira!

There is so much to think of doing the ceiling between treating the wood and the mouse prevention. Those Bulgarian lessons have paid off.

Step by step gets it done even if it takes a bit longer to do. I try to be methodical. We've still got a long way to go but we are making progress with our Bulgarian, we just need more practice.

I saw a big air hole between the ceiling and the wall. There must be a lot of draft in the house. I'm glad you fixed it Adam. I hate draft, why, i don't know but I feel it right away.If I can fix it than its oké with me, otherwise I search for a solution until someone else can fix it even though it is in the middle of the night. The tree was cut proffesionel. Those man knew what they were doing.

There are a lot of drafts but I'm slowly reducing the number. It doesn't help that the roof was built to encourage airflow (original Bulgarian air conditioning). The tree fellers seemed to know what they were doing, I'm still moving the wood and clearing up but we will have plenty of wood for next winter!

That may have given me next week's sentence. I'll slow it down a bit although compared to Bulgarians speaking it was! We feel we've done well if we pick up a few words per sentence when we listen to "full speed" conversations. For a real test try either listening to the news on the radio or the customer announcements in Kaufland! 😂

@@ourlittlebulgarianadventure , yes someone else has suggested listening to the radio or TV will try harder when I eventually get back.

Hi Alison, what time of year are you coming? Currently we don't have a spare bed but I don't know if camping is an option? It doesn't need too much gear and everyone has enough land to pitch a tent!
