Ep. 10 - Giant Pumpkin Plants Have Been Chosen! {Big Decisions}

Each pair of giant pumpkin plants has been narrowed down to one. I terminated one in each location to make room for the keeper plants. When putting them in the ground, I had double planted in each location. In the one hoop house, I had two 2501 Bernstrom plants. In another hoop house, I had two 1005 Clementz plants. In the final hoop house, I had double planted a 1643 New against a 1931 Turner giant pumpkin plant. Watch to find out which plant I decided to keep in each location and my reasoning for each decision!

    Thank you for continuing to share new videos. I really appreciate it. I'm an amateur and this year I started growing my first giant pumpkin and your tips are very useful! Your channel deserves a lot more views. Greetings from Poland 😊

    Great video .. thanks for the updates. It fun to see your 1005 Clementz. My 1005 Clementz is about 10 feet right now and I have spotted my first female on it. Cant wait to see how both our plants do.

    I think I have picked one female off each of my plants that are at my house. All of them were way too early. I think my 1005 Clementz has another near the tip right now, but still doesn’t have enough secondaries.

    Yeah. Seems to be the case for a lot of growers.

    Plants are looking strong! 💪 Time for a drainage ditch on your new patch.

    I will have to figure something out. Pretty sure it will dry out…if it ever stops raining. I borrowed a pump yesterday and started pumping water out instead of filling buckets.

    Thanks! I think I am starting to get that under control. Had a pump out there for a little bit today. Will plan to do more of that after work tomorrow….before it rains again for 3 days.

    Drain tile for giant pumpkins? I'm thankful for sand.

    I should probably just give up on my new patch, but I am convinced it will stop raining one of these weeks.
