Coming to a masjid that is closed always kept me away from that masjid. I am grateful for my masjid.

The part where the Imam was asked to make a cup of tea made me break down, it’s unreal how much we don’t value our deen. Imams roles have to change to the degree that they are running the masjids from an executive level and are bringing in other imams and facilitating the environment in a way that it should be, otherwise the waiter is telling the cook what to do

44:51 had me crack up! It's so common people just assume the khateeb should just know and deliver right off the bat! Excellent discussion. So glad I bumped into this.

Asww, Jzk for working to solidify the importance of an Imam position. I now understand how busy Imams are, but I had an Imam what whenever approached, he gave me the idea that he was annoyed that I was asking. Not a welcoming approach. Imams need to be very welcoming and schedule sessions if not available on the spot.

Imam Ibn Sireen was reported as saying that he did not see any objection to doing so, as long as there is a need for it, unless people turn it into a habit. Likewise, Ibn Shibrima held the same opinion. In his Fath Al-Bari, Ibn Hajar said that many Imams - including Ibn Sireen, Rabi`a, Ash-hab, Ibn Al-Mundhir and Al-Qaffal Al-Qabir - held the opinion that the tradition in question may be applied literally; hence they saw it permissible for any Muslim to combine prayers while not traveling for whatever genuine need without restrictions, but on the condition of not taking it as a habit in itself. I wonder why the imami tradition and zaydi tradition kept these options available to combine salah at anytime without excuse...seems to me the combination of the prayers would be a wonderful ease upon the ummah today..sadly it seems we never heeded this prophetic practice with all respect to the scholars that done allow it..but let's remember isn't the prophet s.a.w the most knowledgeable he combined salah so why can't we 😂

Really sad to learn about the plights. Can association of Imams (AIM) be established for advocacy in a larger scale? Our imams deserve the best in all aspects, Insha'Allah.

If two Imams are saying it's hard for them to manage the prayers on the five daily times..then imagine what the youth are going through...and construction workers ..bus drivers etc trust me muslims are having are hard time simply praying at all on time let alone In the masjid may Allah help us

Also, the Imam should not be responsible for collecting donations. A conflict of interest naturally
